“Not as good as we had hoped”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 8, 2013

This place had a good review on Tripadvisor. In all fairness it was the Friday after the 4th of July and the place was packed. There was a really long wait. Our waitress did the best she could, and it did not take too long to get our food, but the scrambled eggs were not completely done. We had asked for crispy bacon and it was not well cooked either. The prices were over $13.00 per person also. All in all it was a disappointment.

“Terrible service”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

We showed up at 7:45 on a Saturday morning hoping to avoid the crowds others said would arrive. We beat the crowds, but they were not staffed for the few customers they had. We waited ten minutes to be seated even though we could see open tables from where we were standing. Once seated, we waited another 10 minutes before we got coffee and menus! There is no excuse for that. The full staff finally showed up about 8:20 but should have been in place and ready to serve by 7:30. The food once it arrived was good but not great. All meals were warm and not hot. Eggs were good but potatoes terrible. AVOID this place.

“Can breakfast really rate 5 stars?”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

This place comes close to five stars. The menu is extensive and creative. The service is fast and friendly and the food is hot and fresh. I had the wheat pancakes with cooked fresh apples and walnuts. Our table ordered a side of custard cream which appears to be French cream often used to fill cream puffs.
This is a favorite atop for our friends who brought us here and they had nothing but positive things to say.
The space is tight and our round table was tucked into a small corner.
There is one toilet upstairs so the wait was long.
The waiting area is upstairs and includes sofa and a tv/video for the kids.
The prices are higher than you will find in a chain, but the quality is much higher.

“Great place to eat breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 25, 2013

We were visiting Lake Tahoe for 3 days and 2 of the days we had breakfast at the Log Cabin Cafe. The food was great and more than we could eat. No problem for 2 people to share a plate. I would highly recommend this as a great place to eat.

“Unbelievable!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2013

This may be our favorite breakfast place ever! We tried numerous things on the menu, lobster scramble, chorizo scramble, blueberry pancakes, the breakfast burrito and the crab Benedict. The crab Benedict on a croissant is to die for! The service is wonderful...all the servers were very friendly and very knowledgable. The food is fast and fresh! We will definitely return again when we are in the area. A MUST GO!
