We arrived in the morning and it’s already very crowded. The one thing that surprise me is not the temple itself, but the surrounding garden and bridges as it’s stunningly beautiful. Interestingly, you will find groups of students leading by their teachers to the temple for pray for wisdom and wish for good result even on non-holiday school day. Overall, it’s worth visiting.

One of the reasons to go to Dazaifu.
A must visit and very close to Komyozenji Temple and the National Museum.
All three places is a must visit when in Dafaizu.
The shrine is a typical japanese shrine with interesting architecture and history.

Dazaifu is famous for Michizane Sugawara. It was the center of politics of Kyushu. If you come to Fukuoka, you should go to Dazaifu once.

It is a must-visit plan in Fukuoka so it is full of tourists. I would recommend coming here in the morning.

As many many Shrines do have is shops & restaurants leading to the grounds & gardens. I have visited many in my times within Japan, was happy this is not so popular with the tourists as yet. There are buses & trains that are easy & convenient to catch. Both options taking around 30/40 mins from Hakata.

The restaurants and cafe's have great selections. One that we stopped at for lunch, offered an amazing Mentai Koe Don, with endless soup and rice.( That will be another review).

Found it to be a nice day away from the city and buildings, but yet close enough when travelling with a child.

Good place to visit a Shinto Shrine In Fukuoka. Most popular with the fortune towards scholars. A lot of students visit.

Will defiantly return again.

Beautiful.
