Stayed here for one night with my family. Very modern onsen resort. There was one staff member who could speak fluent english which was helpful. The onsen inside the room and the one located at basement were very clean and relaxing. My sister and I slept on tatami and we both really liked their duvet - most comfortable ever!

High quality food - breakfast and dinner yet we would have preferred a more traditional Japanese cruisine.

Unlike other reviewers, we didn't get offered a pickup from the hotel. We were advised to take the taxi - so please ask clearly if you require this service. On the other hand, they provided free shuttle to the airport which was convenient.

There is a souvenir/convenience store located at their sister hotel (across the road).

There was nothing much to see at Noboribetsu - it's a very small town. The bear park was closed on that day due to high winds so we ended up visiting the zoo (tiny and expensive!!) and had a walk around town and hells valley.

Overall it was a relaxing experience!

The room is very modern, clean, and large (around 900 sq ft). The amenities are very new, you get three Japanese robes to choose from to wear around the hotel, and there is a relaxing massage chair in your room. There is an onsen inside the room that has fresh hot spring water running in 24/7 so it stays warm and clean. You get a private hallway into your room (as pictured) where you can keep slippers and shoes.

The 11-course dinner and breakfast (included) are what made this boutique hotel so unique. You get an individual dining room assigned to your hotel room and the food is absolutely AMAZING (pictured). There is a new menu every night and the selections are always fresh and so delicately prepared. We got a local wine pairing which turned out very well, so much that we decided to get one for memories sake.

I would say the service was good, except most staff cannot speak English (quite typical in Japan) but there was one mandarin speaker haha. I wouldn't say this is the most relaxing hotel I've stayed at in Hokkaido and there really is not much to do at the hotel or nearby (The Windsor at Lake Toya is better for either of those- I will write a review for that one too), but it was definitely an amazing experience for the in-room onsen and food. Overall, a unique and wonderful experience! I would recommend for one or two nights if you will be travelling around Hokkaido.

Found this place through websites - i was looking for a place with private onsen, and viola! this was one of the few that offered one in your room!

This hotel is situated right at the end of the noboribetsu town, but reaching there is not a problem as the hotel staff will pick you up from the train station with a phone call.

The hotel looks like the art of a designer - dark wood with black furniture style. The place is dimly lit, and the staff will take care of everything while you sit down enjoying your welcome drink.

The room is big - spacious & comfy, with light colour wooden flooring & furniture that gave a modern touch. Our room faced the hills, so we had a nice view of the white snow covered ground and bare trees which were spotted with snow. There's total privacy as no one can look into the room. Japanese style clothing are prepared, so that you can relax in comfy wear. There's choices of Yukata, Samu-E, PJs, bath robes. Of course you can only roam around in ur Yukata or Samu-E only.

The bathroom is huge - split into the wash area; toliet; and onsen/bath. The private onsen is considered big for 2 people, and has a view of the hills. You can control the temperature of the water, and tolietries provided are branded (Thann & Shiseido).

The room is so comfortable - you won't want to leave your room, except for dinner! Dinner is at a private dining area - each guest room will have a room designated. Here you will experience fine Japanese fusion food - plates of sashimi, king crab, scallops, etc...Have dinner in privacy & a designated server will look after your needs.

I think i already wrote too much....In all - we paid close to S$1000 for the room for 1 night - yes its a high price, but its an experience worth trying...just don't get addicted!
