We found this to be one of the best places we have stayed on our budget
We only intended to stay a few days but ended up staying 10 days over xmas and New Year For only $20 per night we had a large room with air con ,cable TV,fridge and a nice bathroom with a shower (constant hot water ) SUCH LUXURY . The rooms are cleaned spotlessly every day with nice fresh towels and a refresh to toiletries(The bungellows next door but one wanted $15 per night and you wouldent put your dog in them )They have rooms identical on the ground floor so wheelchair bound people could stay (They have no lift for anyone with reduced mobility ) Ask for a room on the frount
The staff were all very friendly especially the cleaners and doormen who are constantly on duty .We felt that all belongings were perfectally safe
This hotel has no bar/restaurant . But you are so central for the many on offer there is no need
Would like to stay there again this year (IF THE PRICE DOES NOT GO UP OVERNIGHT )

Stayed: December 2007

Newly built hotel, very clean, large rooms. My rooms (I stayed twice, first for two nights and later for three) had an Asian-style bath (shower was not separate - I think other higher-priced rooms have Western-style baths) but the fixtures and countertop were high-quality and the layout was great. For $16/night I even got a tray of amenities including toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, plus drinking water, and good-sized towels. (By contrast, I spent one night in a new "boutique" inn on the next street and paid $30 for a room that wasn't nearly as comfortable or well-equipped.) In the first room, the A/C was a little noisy but by playing with the various settings I got it quiet (the "economy" setting did it and the room was still more than cool enough). In the second room, the A/C was quiet on all settings. There is no onsite internet or restaurant but there is no shortage of either just a few steps in any direction. (The Belgian-run restaurant on the next corner, behind the office for the BioDiesel EcoTours, makes fabulous French-press coffee.) Only problem I can think to mention: the floors and staircases are covered with large, smooth porcelain-type tiles and the slap of flip-flops can really echo through the halls!
