I would like to give this resort a 3.5 star, as I'm really undecided between a 3 and 4 star rating.
Sadly the surrounding area of sihanoukville has become nothing but a construction site. The beach is filthy and the roads are broken. Getting to and from areas is a bit of a nightmare. The area has seen a lot of foreign investment, which has destroyed the local beauty of the area.

One would therefore need a resort which caters completely for them in this area, and sahaa beach resort went some way into doing that. The staff are very friendly and attentive, and the meals are good. The breakfast buffet gets a bit repetitive, as often it does at any hotel.
We stayed in the VIP room with a private pool. This probably made the trip. It turns into a Jacuzzi and is quite spacious.
However on the second day it was over chlorinated and completely destroyed our swim wear!

Some oddities - no telephone in the room, therefore no real concept of room service. The sliding doors for the room are not fully sealed, therefore letting AC out and insects in. Insects can be a bit of a problem on this resort, so be aware of this if that does bother you.
Our flight also got changed to leaving a day earlier, but the staff couldn't help with any concessions as our booking was through booking.com, which I found a bit pathetic. So our suite ended up costing us over 100 pound per night in the end - which I really don't think is worth it.

I won't be coming back to Sihanoukville, but it's not really the fault of the hotel or staff. It's more that the area has become so dire.

I think that Sahaa beach resort was a nice stay, but certainly not worth the money we paid. I expected better.

We were booked to stay here for a week and left after 3 nights!
We arrived after 4pm and had to wait over an hour until our rooms were ready. We were not offered and apology or water.
When we eventually went to our rooms, the first thing we noticed was the sliding doors did not close properly and a large can of inspect repellent in the room! There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room.
The staff weren’t particularly friendly.
On a plus point, the pool area is very nice.
The area around the property is terribly run down with rubbish piled in the street, attracting vermin. There is significant building work in the area and the road is more of a dirt track.

A lovely oasis away from the noisy developing city. The staff are all welcoming and friendly, especially the receptionist. I definitely recommend this place if you want to relax and have some peace and quiet.

A real Oasis in the middle of the biggest construction site ever approximately 200 at the moment.
Thank you to all the personnel at the hotel to make us totally forget about the outside.
Not all bad there is a beautiful beach only 30 meters away.
The rooms are very nice and spacious, the semi outside bathroom unusual but very nice. The ground, garden & public area very well taken care off.
Restaurant good quality and choice with a very pleasant service.
Thank you very much for a memorable stay.

Coming to Otres beach, the first opinion was, in which slum are we going to ?? No fixed route and lots of garbage around. But thats something you have to deal with in Cambodia. When entering Sahaa beach Resort, you completely forget that opinion. Its like coming in another world, isolated from the outside. Luxury, open entrance with a koi tank under your feet, very green garden with an infinity pool and swim on bar in the middle. The privat bungalows are surrounded around the pool. High standard of the interior of the bungalow, great beds and an open bath. Restaurant was overpriced, you can better eat at the beach. Small "supermarkets" run by the locals just a few steps away just like the beach.

Room tip: Private Bungalow with Pool view
