Perfectly acceptable place to stay in Sihanoukville. We wanted to be close enough to Serendipity beach to walk to but also close enough to other amenities to not have to rely on tuk tuks. The location is great as it's just off the golden lions roundabout which has a lot of food stalls, travel agents, bars and shops while still being set back enough to not be really loud. They also have a fairly well stocked book shop in the guesthouse which is a bonus but I'd recommend not trying to sell the books back to the same shop. I bought a book for $4.75 and asked what price they'd buy it back for a few days later when I'd finished it and the price was about 60 cents!

The staff are helpful and friendly and were very accommodating when asking for advice or help. We hired a moto through the guesthouse and had no problems at all. The restaurant looks great but we didn't eat there so I can't comment on the food, the beer is always cold and always good though!

We stayed in a fan room for $8 a night. The room was fairly basic but at that price I have no major complaints. There was a lack of places to hang things though which is a bit of a bummer when you get caught out in rainy season! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was acceptable. No hot showers was a bit of a let down but again you can't expect the world for $8.

Overall a pleasant stay but having spoken to other travellers since leaving Sihanoukville we realised the price wasn't ultra competitive.

A note about travelling in low season - There is a lot of construction and development happening in and around Sihanoukville and they start work early. There was construction noise when we stayed but obviously this is totally out of control of the guesthouse.

Room Tip: Rooms closer to the back on the right are quieter as they're further away from the bar/kitchen

Stayed here for a few nights in Septemeber 2013. It has a nice location with it only being a short walk from the beaches and bars and fro 7 dollers a room i cannot complain. The rooms are very basic with a fan and a shower with only cold water but all in all what more can you expect for that price. My two complaint are the food and the price of it. I ate here a few times because i was lazy but dont do the same. The food is very average and so expensive so you should just walk around and find somewhere better as im sure it wont be hard. Secondly they are doing some building work at the momement and its not nice being woken up at 7am on a sunday to the sounds of drills. this is somthing the manager should take care of and make sure they dont start untill at least 10am because at the end of the day people are on holiday here! sort it out!

The western manager was helpfull and was able to answer my questions which was good and all the staff speak english!

Overall a good stay and would recomend it for people on a low budget!

We took the bus here from Phnom Phen and were actually heading to Monkey Republic, next door. As it happens Monkey Republic had burnt down six months previous, (the tuk tuk driver wasn't lying!!!!) and taken half of this place with it.
Had just a few days here, with very little cash but it did the job. Staff excellent, Owners excellent and the food was first class, the restuarant is superb value.
I don't think we passed the free pool table once without playing at least one game.

Room Tip: Not much in it really, they all looked much of a muchness.

Only came here to eat. Open kitchen spotless. Staff very friendly. Chicken breast stuffed with feta and mushrooms plus mashed potato and stir fried veges. So full, best meal of my trip and only $6. Will eat here again very soon. Should be listed in local restaurants category.

I have not (yet) stayed here. My friends and I did however eat at Mick & Craig's. Great atmosphere, very chilled, quite westernised; like a friendly pub-ish environment. Food was a little more pricey (anywhere between $2.75 and $10 depending on the cuisine Asian/Western) than other cities in Cambodia but I've heard that Sihanoukville tends to be a little more expensive food-wise anyway. Drinks were normal cheap prices and they make a lovely watermellon smoothie. The Sunday Roast was a great homely, tasty meal which was just what I needed (a little bit of home away from home). Staff were very friendly and were great with both service and recommendations of other activities to do during our stay. All in all a great dining experience. Enough to make me want to stay in their guest house next time I'm here. A great community focused business.
