“Overrated, overpriced Hotel. Worst customer service in my life!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2012

Our stayed here was terrible. This hotel made us wait 2 hours for the check in... despite the extra time we found a trashbag on the balcony with shrimp on it. They charged us for the extra bed we never got... Wi-Fi did not work... pool towel are a pieces of rag when available... the pick up service for the new building was always delayed... they alway have silly excuses for not giving a service on time. The installation are nice but the place is not clean... the beach is nice and clean but rooms are not keep to good standars. If you travel with kids they will not care, but if you can avoid this overprice hotel, there are nice bungalow options in other places. Everything here is overprice, go out to town and get everything 100% below what you will pay here. Never will come back!

Room Tip: AVOID the rooms on the new building... you will have to walk a lot or walk far to the main building...

Very large room, good breakfast, great private sandy beach with no vendors, nice pool, and excellent gym. Location is 1.5km away from main bar/restaurant area so we rented a scooter which was very convenient. Good service, amiable staff, and clean grounds. Very safe.

Room Tip: We were told that rooms had limited sea view but in reality the view was perfect. Suggest room in ma...

Treated ourselves to this hotel for Christmas after travelling through Laos and Cambodia and was sorely disappointed. Service was poor, breakfast a bunfight where you virtually had to plead for coffee, room average, way too few sunbeds and even worse, no drinks service on beach so had to risk losing hard fought for bed to go to the bar! This may be a 5* resort but the management need to seriously up their game and start delivering 5* service.
We had stayed in small boutique hotels throughout our trip for a fraction of the cost and had been delighted. Such a let down and felt royally ripped off!!

Room Tip: Dont believe the descriptions, they dont match what you get! E.g. Ocean View Wing gets you a look ov...

We stayed here for 10 days over the Christmas break. Acknowledging this is a busy time of year, the service was bad and the food available at the buffet breakfast was limited and empty plates were slow to be refilled. Drinks by the pool were often forgotten. The beach was lovely and clean. Overall the service was not commensurate with the rating of the hotel and not value for money.

We stayed at the resort at the end of October for 5 nights in a beach front villa. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. The villa itself was very comfortable with well appointed bedroom, bathroom and lounge. It was a one minute walk to the beach. The private beach was really nice but sometimes there was litter laying around that had been washed up. As an alternative to the beach the outdoor pool was a very good option, very clean with plenty of sun beds and a nice bar/snack area. There was a great choice of international dishes for breakfast with staff always ready to re fill our coffee cups. The lemongrass restaurant is well worth a visit, it's tapas style menu is very good, more expensive than eating outside the resort but worth it with great views of the sunset. When you want to leave the resort to explore some of the other beaches and restaurants Tuk Tuks are always on hand to take you wherever you want to go. We also found the staff to be very nice they were always happy to help and nothing was too much trouble for them. If I return to Sihanoukville I would definately stay there again.

A nice basic room is only about USD$160 a night but we expected higher rates because of it being a very nice 5 star resort. The gardens and grounds are enormous and tropical beautiful. One day we had an outside BBQ with large cups of beer being USD$4 for 3. Several king prawns on a stick lightly battered and deep fried USD$1. Other exotic food hot or cold was cheap as cheap. The facilities are more than expected & abundant. One never has to wait or line up. Lots of quality free entertainment. Singers, small bands etc. The clean white silicon sand on the beach reminds me of Perth beaches. The water is tropical cool & refreshing and always calm. Also a terrific place for photos especially the sunset.

Room Tip: Try to make use of the expansive grounds for a daily walk and photo session. You will not regret it.

no doubt the beach is nice (although very narrow), however from our room it was a 10min walk so not quite directely on the beach. then, there are way too few sunbeds on the beach, so if you don't get up really early in the morning (we are on holidays, right?) all beds will be reserved already.
internet service is lousy, if it works it is really slow.
we had to change rooms in the first night, as next to us there was a 24h facility office with a paper-thin wall inbetween, no way to get some sleep even with earplugs.
I guess it is ok here for families with kids, but travelling couples I'd recommend to stay in one of the seaside bungalows on occheuteal beach - "above us only sky" guesthouse looked really nice!
