Well prepared food tending toward Southern European influence. Not surprising since the chef and owners are French. Nice ambiance of course. Tough to beat the beach! Slightly over-rated mainly due the idyllic setting, but it is not that far from town so take a $4 tuk-tuk down there if you are in Sihanoukville. It is not a foodie experience, more of a pleasurable experience overall. They are currently building a hotel just inland across the road from the restaurant. I am sure that it will do great.

Nice surroundings, food was quite average for the price, but I think this place will be great when the hotel opens.

This is probably the easiest review I've ever had to write on Tripadvisor! We spent 3 nights in Otres Beach from 30 April to 3 May, 2013 and both of our days at Tamu. The day beds are superb, extremely comfortable, right on the beach and free (you just need to buy some drinks from the bar!). And what a view!

Tamu offers free wifi which works excellently, including on your sunbeds. The service is very good and right to your sunbed and the prices whilst slightly more for Cambodia are not unreasonable for such an incredible location ($3.50 for an almost full English breakfast, $6 club sandwich, $1.50 soft drinks, $4 cocktails). It is western owned and it shows. The food (and drink) was tasty with large portions, very fresh and excellently presented.

It was a shame they are not open for dinner yet, but hopefully they will be when the hotel opens in August/ September, 2013. If the hotel is anywhere near as good as the restaurant/ bar, I imagine it will do brilliantly.

Otres Beach is our favourite beach in six months of travelling round South East Asia with virtually no hawkers, extreme peacefulness and all the amenities you need- in our opinion, Tamu is the perfect place to spend it.

Beautiful place
Wonderful staff
Great food
Far away from the crowded backpackers [--] places, Tamu will offer you a good spot to relax in the afternoon, have a drink or some (good) food. Also the beach is awesome there. Definitely a place to be.
