The food at Sandan is creative and very good (similar if not identical menu to "Friends" in Phnom Penh), the prices are reasonable, the location is cozy, but what sets this restaurant apart, in my opinion, is the quality of service. Sandan's servers were not only extremely polite and attentive, you could also see that they were mentally running through rules of dining etiquette and trying to get everything just perfect. I felt like royalty being treated to such diligent, calculated effort. Outside the parking attendant practically cried with joy when I have him 500 riel for guarding my motorbike. Sandan is just one of those "feel-good" places.
