Description: 'The Led Zephyr' is a bar/restaurant and guesthouse in the centre of Occheuteal, Sihanoukville. We offer affordable accommodation for travellers and food and drinks at reasonable prices. Our restaurant has a full menu. We regularly feature live music of all genres on our stage. "The Led Zephyr" is named after the famed westerly wind that signals the change in season from Winter to Spring and the Led, of course, is a reference to a certain all-conquering Rock band from the 70s. However, in due course we hope that many styles of music will be played on our stage including Rock, Alt Rock, Punk, Blues, Funk, Reggae, Pop, Indie and Acoustic. So if you're a musician, get in touch by email and stake your place on our stage! Located in the centre of the action at the junction of Serendipity Beach Road and Mithona Street (opposite Utopia), "The Led Zephyr" has a bar in the shape of a guitar with a star-shaped body, which is perfect for socialising with your friends, watching the stage, big screen or the plasma screens at the ends of the bar or just checking out what's happening in the street. The restaurant has a menu covering a variety of Western and Khmer favourites including delicious pizzas, homemade fresh smoked foods, fantastic ribs and big burgers along with a few yummy desserts thrown in too. There are free Pool tables and there is a projector and screen in front of the stage showing a variety of movies, TV shows, music videos and music documentaries shortly to keep you entertained during the day as well as a sound system to play cool tunes. Free Wi-Fi and power is available for laptops in the main building and in the bungalows too For a quieter time, there is a large multi-level terrace with a Tree house at one end where you can get a great view down Serendipity Beach Road and across the sea. We frequently host bands from Phnom Penh on the weekend and the house acoustic musician Roger De La Paz usually plays 6 times a week. Open microphone is on Wednesday night if you fancy getting on our stage yourself and drinking a free beer! We hope you'll come and visit us to have a great time!

This is actually hostel as well, stayed only one night, rooms where abit cramped in the dorms, it was like an assault course at night after a few beers trying to get over bags and not bang into people's beds! Bar had really good vibe, staff all friendly and chatty, live music was ok nights I saw it but could have been bad luck. Food was great, the burger was massive and very tasty. Drink is also pretty cheap so would recommend a few warm up drinks here

My boyfriend and I have been to the led zephyr a lot during our 2 week stay in Sihanoukville. The music is live every night, and has been nicely varied from a proper Aussie band doing covers and their own stuff, to individuals on open mic nights who have all been very good (our favourite was a gent who did a lot of Bob Dylan covers, all great!)

The food is also excellent and well priced. The Zephyr burger is $7 which may seem expensive for cambodia but it is huge! My boyfriend likes his food and struggled to finish the monster! We have had many great nights talking with one of the bar staff, a guy from Belfast I believe (must ask him his name) but he's been brilliant, even giving us a free beer when he recognised us from the beach. We also came here for a Sunday roast (which runs on a wednesday too) for $7 and it was great - large slabs of meat, plenty of potatoes and veg and individual pots of rich gravy!

The drinks are reasonably priced, cocktails are $3 and come in tall glasses so you get a lot for your buck, and they don't skimp on the alcohol and you can really taste it. My boyfriend is an ex- cocktail waiter and he said that the sex on the beach was the most finely put together he has had for a long time, actually better than his own. We sat in 'the treehouse' which is a covered wooden structure, a little more private than the bar itself and we loved it, and we've been back nearly every night for drinks.

The reason that we didn't give this bar a 5 star rating, is a small negative that perhaps on busy nights there aren't enough staff, or that the staff are a little bit lax. On a few occasions we have had food come out to us in bits and bobs with sometimes 20 minutes inbetween, and on several occasions i had to go back to the bar to remind them of my drink order only to find that they didnt take it. The nice Irish guy has berated the staff on my behalf and sorted out my problems immediately, and its not a huge dent in what otherwise is a brilliant establishment!.

Ended up eating here most days- the garlic bread with cheese is INSANE! Basically super thick slices of bread loaded with garlic butter and cheese- all for $2. Burgers, pizzas and pancakes also great and reasonably priced. Loads of places to sit and chill to the live music that's on every night and friendly staff too - highly recommended!

We went for a brunch where we were a bit hungover and just wanted something simple. But it was quiet a lot to ask. Although the food we got was decent, they couldn't manage to just bring us plain bread. Some people got it, some didn't. Maybe they just didn't understand?
