Positive points: clean room and good location

Negative points : unfriendly staff, worst manager in the world!

Explanation: checked in on the 24th which was 10$ (double room) and booked for two nights. Because we quite enjoyed our location and werent fit to travel we decided to see it day by day. We ended up adding two more single days to our stay which were told 24 hours in advance to the manager( also directly paid). When we told the manager we wanted to stay untill the 1st of january he wanted to charge us 30$ for the room on the 31st and got extremely rude. Saying that we were annoying because we booked single days. When I asked him why he was being rude to us he just continued his job. When we left we asked for clean towels, they gave us dirty towles. Very immature.

Staff doesnt throw a smile, and they dont speak English very well and dont try, they dont care

Conclusion: stay here for a night and move on.

Dont expect too much - but what you get is a useful and clean (cambodia-clean...) room with Fan and TV and private bathroom for 7USD. They are often full and sometimes you need to book one day in advance.
Their Restaurant is cheap and offers good food: Asean and western cuisine. Had nothing really bad but also nothing really delicious dishes there.

All in all: recommended. All 3 GBT Guesthouses are well located and not too far away from the nightlife so everything is easily reachable in walking distance.

This place is not too bad, I've read some of the other reviews and we'll many are correct, however it is very close to the beach, does have good Internet, which is sadly a Web login, tedious.! The main problem is that the staff are questionably unhappy to be of service and the cleaners are very noisy, it felt like I hadn't slept properly for a long time when staying here. Anyway back to the positive points, it's far enough away from the hectic top of the street and it's cheap $6ish private room, bathroom, fan. You can't really moan about that, just wish I could sleep more...!

Here there is something for everyone.
For $8 you get a twin room with a bathroom, cold shower and fans. Looks a bit old but that doesnt matter as everything works perfectly!
Very good value for money and right on the beach! Staff are friendly and helpful too!

Not a really friendly place to stay.. If u get there by tuctuc, you will be over charge . For exactly the same room the guy next door was paying less. Except the waiters, the staff was unpleasant...girls never smiles.. rooms are just ok.. The minimum you can espect for 5/6/7 box ,depence who does your check in... Anyway ,in this town ,everyone try to make you pay extras... It is not about the money but principals.. North is not the same.. 2 good points , food and internet is quite fast...
Guest houses right in front looks much better...or go on the islands , at least there it' s clean. I won't be back... Good luck :)

we arrived at the hotel early in the morning after long journey from Siem Reap. Just pass by the hotel & decided to give it a try. They show us a room in a dark, narrow alley while the cleaning lady cleaned up the room.

The condition was pretty bad, u can see the bed sink in. But we were too tired to look around & decided to give it a try. The worker seems a bit stunned when we say yes to the room.

The rest of the day seems pretty fine since we decided to stay outside & walk arnd. There's no wifi inside the room so you have to sit at the restaurant to get one. It kept logged out after some time so its quite annoying. And be ready for some mosquito bites.

The nightmare comes out at night when all sorts of bug started coming out from their hiding. My friend jump out of the bathroom when she saw a big fat cockroach crawling on the floor heading fast towards our bedroom. We quickly ask for the staff to help get rid of it and they come later with broom & repellent. They spray the whole room & managed to kill it.

We settled down after 20 minutes and checked out every possible hole (they cover the ventilation hole with net). Yet another cockroach crawling in from the wooden ceiling of the next room and fly into ours. The supervisor seems annoyed when I reported this & brushed me off saying that he's busy. After we complaint for refund, he show us a better room (also dont seems promising) & says that we have to pay extra for upgrade. We decided to check out the same night hoping to get a peaceful sleep elsewhere. They dont even apologize or help us out. And we didnt get the refund anyway.
