Very original when you come in first, surprising bungalows! Close to the sea and the beach. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. But for 3 days stay, it was not really confortable, for there was no place to put my clothes or usual things.

For the prices here, it should be way better. The rooms are simple and rustic but the atmosphere is very nice. The food is okay but takes FOREVER to arrive. We waited one night with our kids for almost an hour for the food to come. I would not recommend this place.

The curious architecture warrants an one-night stay - nothing more! Can be a bit pricey & uncomfortable.

E-mail communication is very prompt & professional. It has 2 sets of accom - one across the street & one set abutting the beach. Reservations are taken only across the street - hence you do not get a beach side shack. Beach side rooms are only for walk-ins.

I did not eat there, since breakfast is not included in room price - unlike rest of Cambodia.

Place is very clean & well maintained. The conical roofs can get very hot since there is no vent at the top. Toilets are tiny.

Could have been better for the price charged. But the location of Otres beach is fantastic!

Room Tip: Just stay there for one night. Later you can walk around & check out other hotel options. Stayin...

We had a short time in Sihanoukville but wanted to forget out backpacker budget and stay somewhere different for this leg of the trip. Mushroom certainly fit the brief!

We loved the quirky mushroom bungalows and the round beds in the dorm. Our mozzie nets were great, but we were more concerned about the steps leading to our dorm! They're just small planks of wood very spaced out, and we had a couple of close calls, especially with heavy bags.

My main concern were the bathrooms. Cold water showers were fine- after all, we were in Cambodia! But the ceiling of the bathroom has plenty of large gaps in the floorboards upstairs and I felt that I was being watched the whole time. To me, that seems like it could be fixed fairly easily and it made me really uncomfortable.

Overall we enjoyed our stay here. Great service -thanks Roman!- and a cool place to relax. Just make sure you have cash when you check out- there's no ATM at Otres Beach.

Very well thought and planned out place. Bungalows are cute, showers clean. Tiny, but who needs space when you are out all the time. Best part is the food! Extremely tasty bagguettes and big variety of flavours. Portions are BIG. Easy for two people. Everything fresh and even homemade. And thats what I like. Yoi first think you are paying too much , but you also get a LOT. Fair and square.
Compare it to other places and its hard to find the level of quality that mushroomers provide. Owners are helpful and nice. If you want quiet night stay on the oposite side of the road. Beach part is more lively.

Defenitely place to come back.

After reading the reviews and having been to Cambodia before I was happy enough to go with the choice of Mushroom Point in our group decision but had reservations in terms of the price. Yes it is pricey BUT, as I am not on a backpacker budget (any more!) it was justifiable for the privacy you got. Roman was an excellent host and all of our food was delicious and we tried a lot! Our food arrived quickly (definitely did not take an hour) although the Mushroom Point on the beach food did take a little longer - each time you could tell the food was fresh. The owners were super helpful and the rooms and private bathrooms were kept very clean and changed virtually every day. Yes you could find somewhere cheaper but you always can if you look and yes your on the beach most of the day (unless its raining!) but its still nice to take a time out in a nice relaxed place and this is it,especially after feeling a bit traveller weary. The staff do keep on top of the local staff and also train up people for specific roles - we never saw anyone berated for not doing their job.

Room Tip: You have a choice of the dorm, private mushroom pod (that can manage two people) and the water coole...
