I stayed 2 nights and I think it rained almost the whole time. I'll have to come back when the sun is shining to really experience Sihanoukville!
The hotel is centrally located with a nice pool, restaurant and bar. The room was clean and large. No problem with hot water. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Loved the breakfast buffet.
I left my very expensive sunglasses behind in the room. In any hotel in the world that would have been the last time I would have seen them. But at this hotel the cleaning staff turned them in and the management emailed me immediately and sent them to me in Phnom Penh that night. Really extraordinary service. Way above expectations.

I have just returned from an 18 day stay at Beach Club Resort in Sihanoukville. In terms of value for money, travellers (no matter how deep their pockets) will have to go a long way OUT of their way to beat this hotel. In location terms, the hotel is convenient for the beach ( 200 m) and there are bars,restaurants,mini-markets,massage parlours, internet points, laundries, travel agencies,ATM cash dispensers, etc. all within walking distance should you wish to use those facilities. There are always a couple of Tuk Tuks outside the hotel ready to ferry you around town - there is no waiting around.
Rooms are comfortable, functional and well appointed - they are cleaned daily and in my opinion to a high standard. The laundry service as well as being a couple of hours turn around is also suprising well priced.
The pool around which the hotel is based is a little oasis of calm - should you wish it to be.
Wi-Fi internet is available for free in the bar-pool area and the rooms and the connection is the fastest that I have experienced in Cambodia.
From the Manager through all the staff, I doubt wether you could find a more friendly, hospitable bunch of folks who just want you to enjoy your stay and are prepared to go the extra yard to ensure that you do. The girls in the bar area on both the morning and evening shifts are first class and a credit to the hotel and themselves. The bar food is first class and I could write a piece on that alone - more and more I felt the urge NOT to go beyond the bar in the evenings - the buffet breakfast probably represents the best value in the town.
I like to try and make my reports as balanced as possible for the reader and potential future readers, but frankly I am struggling to find something negative to say about the complex!! There is nothing really to dislike about BCR.

Well situated with big rooms, a street back from the beachfront road, therefore away from the more rowdy tourists. Only hic cup was an inexperienced laundry maid applied an iron to my synthetic trousers and burnt a hole in them. Fortunatly a tailor in Phnom Penh did some invisible mending for $2

Not the most plush place you will come accross, but for this town a pretty good budget choice. The pool is ok and the wifi good, the staff are friendly as is the owner. The town in general is quite dissapointing, with none of the charm of Kep or even Kampot. The beach is a bit dirty and crowded, but everyone was nice to us and there was none of the hastle we normally associate with beaches out here. We had tried to treat ourselvs at a 5 star resort but the staff were so rude that we wound up here, so be warned and avoid a place called Sokhi Beach hotel!

Stayed at the Beach Club Resort for 2 nights and wished it had been for longer. Clean spacious rooms, if a bit sparsely furnished, nice pool and plenty of restaurants within a short stroll as is the beach.

The bar staff were great, very friendly and helpful, they obviously enjoy working there! Buffet breakfast at $3 for all you can eat is excellent value.

We went to Sihanoukville from Phnom Penh wanting to tour the Cambodian south coast and were quite disappointed. The location of Beach Club is close to Ochheuteal/ Serendipity Beach but this is a tiny and dirty beach full of huts, bars and people selling stuff, so we did not spend much time there. However, down the street from Beach Club there are several good restaurants.

The hotel looks more like a motel where they replaced the parking lot in the center with an ugly pool. Our first room smelled like someone urinated in it, so we changed it for another one which was also not very nice but at least did not smell. The design of the hotel is probably best described as "functional", don't expect anything charming about it.
At night we also had small ants in several parts of the room. The AC was far too weak for the size of the room, so it was pretty much useless.

On the upside, the service at the reception desk is very good. The guy was very friendly, gave us plenty of good advice on activities, fair prices and so on and was overall quite helpful.
