Beach Club Resort
Ranked #22 of 74 Hotels in Sihanoukville
Reviewed April 23, 2014

We could not have wished for a better place to stay, having researched several hotels in Sihanoukville we were so pleased that we chose the Beach Club Resort. We had a poolside double room which opened on to a peaceful area where we could sit in the shade and enjoy a drink or a snack, have a good read and then take a nice swim. The hotel is well located and the room was spacious and very clean with excellent air conditioning, the free Wi Fi worked extremely well throughout the premises. All the staff were very friendly including the hotel owners who were in residence. They could not do enough for us, breakfast was good in a well designed bar, restaurant area adjacent to the pool. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone contemplating a stay in Sihanoukville.

Room Tip: Poolside worked fine for us.

This hotel was well run and friendly. The pool area and reception/entrace/bar areas are really nice. The room was very well priced and the breakfast was good, although there was no variety each day.

i rented a motorbike from reception which was fairly priced at $5 per day. It is a few minutes pleasant walk down to the beach area, but the motorbike is needed if you want to go to some of the quieter beach areas.

My only complaint is that the rooms were a little tired now, but perfectly adequate. For the price and value I would come back here again.

Myself and two friends stayed in the large Family room. The room was massive,.Had 3 great large beds.

The pool area is great. The breakfast was fairly good. A bit more choice and some OJ would have been nice. The Bar area and pool table we very nice. Had a bit of fun there starting our nights off before we headed out.

We rented Scooters from the reception a couple of days so we could make our own way over to Otres Beach. They also booked our return bus to Phnom Penh.

Found the staff very friendly. The guy and girl who worked behind the bar at night were a good laugh. And a few of the people at reception were brilliant.

Overall I was very happy and would return if in Sihanoukville.

Varying reviews on this hotel & I tried to book previously but it was full

I got a room in Feb 2014 for 3 nights & was fortunate to be upgraded as standard rooms overbooked
The room was massive & good ensuite facilities.

I was room only so cannot comment on breakfast but I did have dinner twice & the food was excellent

Pool was nice & staff always friendly/helpful

My only negative were some Danish guests who were obviously regulars & well off ....who also seemed to want everyone else staying there to know that

I would stay there again

I agree completely with the review "3 day break" provided by thekidz2000. The hotel is past it's prime, but priced fairly. The pool is clean and well maintained. Very nice on hot Sihanoukville afternoons. Breakfast buffet was good; not a lot of variety and the same each day, but good quality. The bathrooms have a shower curtain to separate from the toilet, water floods most of the bathroom floor. It dries out quickly; works fine. Bed is nothing to rave about, but adequate. Rooms are quiet. The hotel operates it's own laundry with same day service and competitively priced with outside service. In such hot/humid weather, I used the laundry every day and was pleased with the service and price. Overall, what I expected for $30-40/night. No complaints and I would stay again.

Without Luna Aargren, the former manager, quality has dropped considerably starting with hospitality, knowledgeable staff. Things to be mended are only looked after upon insisting. Pool however is still nice as is the choice on the breakfast buffet, but all in all, money these days pays you better guesthouses/hotels in Sihanoukville.

We stopped here after seeing good reviews. Who made them I can only surmise. The place was basic looking with old cracked furniture, mould in the bathroom and the towels had holes in. It s hard to know which was louder - the noise from the courtyard or the noisy air conditioning. The breakfast was abysmal - one of the worst we had in Cambodia. These are just some of the problems . We also found the owner to be extremely rude on reporting the problems. Found a much better hotel for the same price nearby.
