Room here was excellent. Pool is great for a relaxing few days in the sun. The food and drinks in the restaurant are great. Staff at reception are really good and helped with organising our onward travel to Kampot.

We stayed a week at beach club, had the family room right outside the pool! It was amazing! It's well worth doing the breakfast in the morning and the restaurant food is pretty good too! Massage place in the hotel was lovely! Great security at night, guy walking around all the time!
Rooms are big and were cleaned well everyday!
Would go back in a heart beat!
Thank you beach club!

Stayed here after backpacking for a few weeks and needing a decent nights sleep! The hotel is immaculate with friendly staff who speak excellent English. Food is great (I had the lime and kampot pepper chicken) and ok priced.
Pool is lovely and has really big comfy loungers.
This hotel was perfect for me and would be good to use as a base for exploring the local area. It doesn't have much atmosphere though so not somewhere you would stay for a long time.
Improvements: as with most accommodation in SE Asia, the walls are thin and the noise of people going up and down steps is quite loud. The service in the restaurant was also very slow. I was waiting a good 20 or 30 minutes for someone to take my order.

Planned on staying one night but ended up staying four! Although this was because we couldn't stay on Ko rong samloem, the friendly staff and great location meant we didn't want to leave. Only a couple of blocks from the beach and very close to some excellent restaurants. The hotel itself was very comfortable and clean and very relaxing sitting by the pool. The staff were wonderful and went out of their way to phone up hotels in our next location to check availability, give us advice and book our island trip and minibus journey. Breakfast was buffet and was well stocked. Happy hour was half price drinks and the bar also had a free pool table.

Room Tip: Recommend 1st or 2nd floor not on pool level

Booked this hotel after reading the reviews on TripAdvisor which usually offers a balanced view of the place I'm staying.

Unfortunately, not this time. The Cambodian staff were lovely and attentive but what's good about this place stops there.

The hotel is very dated with very old furnishings. One of the beds was about to lose one of its corner supports, electric cables were exposed in the bathroom, the shower trickled warm water, mould grew in bathroom and only 2 towels provided in the bathroom. The wifi reminded me of the old dial up days.

It resembled a hotel from the 70s on the Costas of Spain. Had I been backpacking this might have been an ok place to stop but at 58$ per night (Jan 2014), I expected a much better establishment.

We decided to check out after 1 night instead of staying the full 3 nights. Reception said it was fine although we had to check with bookings.com.

I called them and they said it was fine too but they had to call the hotel to check it was fine with them as well.

Bookings.com told me the woman they spoke to claimed not to speak English !!

After significant exchange of words, we paid for the night we had stayed and checked out and reception assured us no further money was owed.

The Cambodians are very polite, humble and almost green. I felt as though the owner of this establishment was not a nice boss to work for and may well be taking advantage of their naiveness.

Please don't get me wrong, there are many people from the 'developed' world with establishments in Cambodia and most of them do a lot of good charitable work with some of their profits. Obviously there are always individuals who want to exploit and self indulge. The owner of this place appears to be one of these individuals who puts little into her hotel, staff or local community.

The Beach Club Resort is a nice hotel near the beach with a pool and is a nice relaxing place to stay. After traveling in large cities in Vietnam and Cambodia it was a nice treat to go to this beach resort. We arrived late on the bus from Phnom Penh and were able to order some delicious pizzas for dinner at 10 pm. Every morning we had a delicious buffet breakfast with made to order eggs available. Our rooms had comfortable beds and were spacious. Large flat screen tv, air conditioning, free internet, and refrigerators in the room made it very comfortable.e had a room on the pool level which was nice although cheaper to get a room on the second or third floors. It is like a motor lodge where all rooms have doors to the outside. At night the security was very good and the night watchman walked around with his flashlight...which was a bit weird until I realized it was him! The pool was cleaned regularly and was refreshing...especially after a day at the beach!
There are numerous restaurants all around and they offer delicious, inexpensive meals.
The hotel is getting older but is still comfortable and clean. The service was great and staff was always helpful and prompt to do what they could to make our stay with them great.
I would stay here again...the prices are quit good and location great,

Room Tip: Rooms on the pool level are nice but more expensive...second and floor rooms cheaper but you must cl...
