Outstanding hosts and our room and the entire house was immaculately maintained. We will be back with friends and family. Reservations were easy to obtain and the hosts gave us excellent information and recommendations for traveling around the area.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in April and had a super, wonderful time. We had the red room which was a very nice size, with private balcony. The breakfast was very delicious, Jerry is a great chef.
We only had other guests for the first night we were there, which was nice as we all got to eat our breakfast together at one table, which encourages conversation.
We highly recommend this B&B.
Will be back again later this year.

Room Tip: The Red room, was a very good size. Lots of light. We were able to see all the rooms, and I really do...

The house was beautiful (especially compared to many of the other B&B's I've stayed in), a wonderful mix of modern and classic. Food was delicious and the owners were very kind. Many great wineries were in walking distance. All of the advice given by Jerry was great (dinner location, wineries, what tour to do). Only con was that the walls were thin, but isn't that true of every B&B? They did leave ear plugs next to the bed which was a nice touch.

Room Tip: We liked the Yellow room

My husband & I spent a Saturday, day and night at the Birmingham and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jerry made us all breakfast in the morning and it was delightful. The place is impeccably clean and the bed, pillows were very comfortable. The grounds, garden, decor was very beautiful and mostly all original. Jerry explained about the wood, windows, trees, neighboring places and was very knowledgable about the local wine culture. The wine pass was a valuable amenity......all much appreciated.

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Birmingham Bed & Breakfast and plan to come back.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. We both had never been to Sonoma nor have stayed at a B&B, so we had no idea what to expect. After some research, I decided upon this B&B mostly because their website description said it was walking distance to some wine tasting rooms and restaurants.

We arrived on a Friday in March so we got the house to ourselves for that day. The Innkeeper, Jerry, happily greeted us in the front of the house and recalled the conversations we previously had with him on the phone. My boyfriend had talked to Jerry separately to plan something special for my birthday, and told us these surprise plans were confirmed for the next morning. He also printed directions and everything for us.

Since no one else was staying at the B&B that evening, we got a tour of all the rooms. All rooms are tidy and cozy, but we lucked out with Red Room which was a little bigger and had a private balcony. After we were escorted to our room, Jerry handed us the keys and our free wine tasting passport and let us be.

The next morning we were just three minutes late to the 9am breakfast and had a beautiful breakfast waiting for us. Jerry had to urge us a bit to be a bit more hasty since our food was getting cold, but all in good cheer because he did present us with a great breakfast of hot croissants and a super delicious souffle that was meant to be enjoyed just out of the oven.

The next day we set off on the birthday plans my Jerry and my boyfriend arranged for us and a day of hopping from tasting room to tasting room. We were in fact in a great location because by the end of the day, we were able to walk to the closest tasting rooms and a wonderful dinner nearby (highly suggested by Jerry).

We had a full house the next morning and got to share breakfast with 6 others (max capacity). This morning's meal was just as great and Jerry was a great host trying to connect all the guests in conversation.

Great place to stay, especially for a quiet time out in wine country.

Just a warning as a young couple, there isn't a tv in the rooms so it was a bit of a shock to be stripped from that technology. Luckily they do have wifi, if you want/need to stay connected. It definitely was great to be off the grid a bit, but can sometimes be too quiet and needed to watch some HBO Go :)

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend for no other reason than the fact that my mother-in-law was in town to look after our 3-year old.

After a day of wine tasting and picnicking, we checked into our room (we had the Red Room). We were greeted by Jerry, whose first impression was that of a gruff New Yorker in the wrong place. Turns out first impressions can be wrong! More on him later.

The house itself is about 100 years old. It was really charming and felt kind of like its own museum. My wife used to be a curator in a circa 1920's museum/home and it was great to see some of the same features. Jerry showed us the original power outlets, how the wires were run outside of the house, and how the new wiring had to be integrated (it was one of the first houses in the area built with, albeit limited, electricity). If I had to pick 1 minor nit about our room, it would be that the room doesn't exactly have what I would call a 'soaker tub' (as advertised). It is more of a deep shower you could sit upright in, but not lie in like a tub.

The morning after, we sat in the living room and had coffee, chatting with the other guests. It was a pleasure getting to know them and we realized we were all locals. Jerry proved to be beyond fantastic as a host, regaling us with stories of the area, telling jokes, sharing trivia and being the life of the morning. He prepared an amazing breakfast of yogurt and fresh fruit, followed by baked french toast (which tasted like it was cooked in caramel) and sausage. The food was as great as the company. We left in good cheer!

Pro-tip: Even though you can't check in until 3 pm, try and go a bit early and ask Jerry for a free wine tasting card. It covers a lot of local wineries. Also, if you are into history and/or nature, go check out Jack London State Park. It's really worth a look!

We're locals who were looking to have a quiet winter weekend. The Birmingham fit the bill with its lovely rooms and tranquil atmosphere. Good hearty breakfasts and big comfortable beds. The complimentary wine tasting "passport" made sampling easy on the wallet.

I'd highly recommend this B&B.
