Owner description: Inspired by formal estate gardens in the south of France, Chateau St Jean is the quintessential Sonoma winery that features gracious style and exquisite architecture. Founded in 1973, the winery is a pioneer in single vineyard wines and the home of the iconic Cinq Cepages.

Definitely a little more commercial, but the grounds are lovely, and they were very friendly. As you enter the grounds, there are the different varieties of grapes. I thought that was a very educational and interesting feature.

We had the pleasure of tasting the wines at CSJ on Thursday, October 11th. A spectacular day and we had great service by Bob Beck on the patio. He was a gem and very knowledgeable about all the good wines at CSJ. Bob, thanks and we love the wines! Cinq Cepage is a great wine and keep up the world class wines!!

The grounds are gorgeous, and all the workers are so nice. Plus they also participate in the visa signature card Sonoma perks.

Enjoyed the wines and walking the grounds. I would include this stop in any Sonoma wine trip. It's near town and easy to get to.

We've come to Chateau St. Jean many times over the years and always enjoyed it but boy, have they become corporate. Our pourer seemed bored, snooty and reciting his script. He wouldn't engage in conversation at all. We'd spent an average of $300-$500 at the other wineries we'd visited so we know a little bit about wine. We didn't plan on bringing any food onto their grounds but the signs saying you can't bring outside food or drinks or wine just seemed petty.
