“One of the worst pizza EVER”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

My girlfriend heard about this place having the authentic pizza ingredients from Italy so we rushed there cause we are pizza freaks. Oh my god ... While we were ordering it we asked for them to be thin and crispy so when they showed up with these white thick crusts we all looked so disappointed so we asked them to bake them more. I had ordered the arugula and prosciutto one even though you can't rebake them I asked anyway. The pizza was blend the cheese was too young and prosciutto was not up to standard. So if you are looking for an authentic pizza skip this place or have the nuts for a snack

“Perfect spot for lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013

Grab a pizza, charcuterie board and glass of red wine and enjoy it all in the courtyard. There is a gelato shop, gift shop and wine-tastings if you want something else to eat/do.
The pizzas are especially good.
Staff are super friendly.

“I love this little Italian village!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is the coolest winery/Italian village, complete with wine, a wonderful deli, outdoor kitchen with pizza oven, music and patio seating. There is a gift shop, chocolate shop and ice cream shop. You could spend the afternoon here in this authentic village/winery. Great wines, great food! There is even a gallery upstairs!

“Italian varietals, pizza and gelato”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

Italian varietals, wood-fired pizza and gelato--pure heaven. VJB used to be in a tiny space but when they moved into their newly built "piazza" they were discovered! The wines are wonderful (try the Primitivo, Dante and Barbera). There are lots of places in Sonoma where you can bring a picnic but not many places where you can get freshly prepared food and enjoy lunch at a winery. The VJB deli and specialty store, wood-fired pizza oven and gelato stand were a great addition to the neighborhood. The wine pourers are non-pretentious and eager to educate. Check out the art gallery upstairs, too--local artist Fred Parker has his amazing art on display there.

“One of the Best”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 25, 2013

This is a must stop vineyard in Sonoma Valley. The easy: beautiful grounds, easy location to find, great service. The better than good: the wine (it is not distributed), the family (met both the father Vittario & Henry one of the Son's), the culture of the team/staff (like a family reunion), the tasting (full of knowledge and why their wine is special and pairings), the food (the menu in the deli and pizza created by the matriarc), the enviroment ( you forget you are in the U.S.)
I can't say anything to even critique our visit, other than I wish they stayed open past 5pm..
Don't miss this experience! Have lunch in the courtyard, they sell wines by the glass.
