The guesthouse is conveniently located around wineries and between Sonoma and Santa Rosa. Several restaurants are in a short driving distance. We particularlly enjoyed the meals at Vineyard Inn (Kenwood) and Yeti (Glen Ellen). Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to try out the new comer- Glen Ellen Star (Glen Ellen). Till next time.
The guesthouse itself is a great place to relax with a book or a glass/cup of wine/coffee in hands out on the deck before and after your wine adventures. Nature lovers will certainly be excited about the different wildbirds hanging around the big oak tree next to the house. And, look up those unannounced visitors...wild turkeys and deer.
Joan was a graceful host. She helped us to plan our daily wine tours, served us abundant breakfast every morning, and recommended hiking routes and nearby restaurants. Specially, we appreciated she was a true "green" supporter and advocator. Don't forget to ask Joan to bake you a delicious pear pie when you are there!!
