My husband and I went to Sonoma for two nights. Our goal was a quaint getaway in wine country. The Kenwood was everything we could ask for and more. The ambiance, beds, fireplaces and food were top notch. The property is gorgeous but the staff made our trip easy and comfortable. You would have thought we had stayed there many times before. Eric is a fantastic consierge and Brian was a pleasure to deal with. Impressive to see how well they read us. We will DEFINITELY go back.

For me, the wow facter is right away as you arrive at the entrance and check in. Going further inside you feel a unique landdscaping leading to the resturant and bar that is relaxing and fun to explore behind each turn. The pool area is fantastic for laying under the the sun, swimming in the heated pool in cool weather early in the day while just a few steps you can reach the spa and then later find the privite hot tub or two others to change the senery. The rooms is very classy. The fire place, candles, music in all rooms, need I say more. The rooms next to the highway are a little noisy. However, the view over the vineyards are worth the small set back. There are quitier rooms behind the pool if you want seclution. The staff is very helpful, food is good and the bed is very comfortable. The loaction to the wine vineyards are very handy. I loved the experience and will return agian.

Room Tip: I liked the room towards the highway because it is close to the parking and the view of the vine yar...

we thought the property was gorgeous and worth the money. I will agree with another reviewer, I could distinctly hear everything the couple upstairs did during their stay - it woke me up as well. BUT the bed was wonderful, the bedding wonderful. It was great to fall asleep with the fireplace on a timer. Very romantic. The staff was professional and friendly. The hot tub was great as well. Restaurant just a tad bit disappointing in that it was limited and didn't offer alot of choices, but the breakfast was fab. Maria was great. There was a weird smell in the bathroom, I think it was actually the soap product. You can't walk to any other restaurants so be prepared to drive. All that said, I'd certainly recommend.

Room Tip: Get a room upstairs. do NOT take a room on the parking lot. Check your invoice when you check out.

We chose Kenwood for our 30th Annv and they did not disappoint. The place was like going back in "Tuscan Time". It was so beautiful. The restaurant was so amazing - compliments to the Chef. We did the Chef Choice the first night, and loved it so much we had dinner again the next night. This hotel inspires romance, and I hope we can come back for another visit soon.

We loved our time there. Ask for a room upstairs -- in the downstairs ones you can hear noisy creaks as the guests above walk around. (It woke us up). The fire places are such a nice touch. The food is delicious. The one thing I felt a little duped on -- I thought from the photos that the hotel was right on the gorgeous Vineyard. It is actually across the street and you can't see it from most rooms. Not a big deal, but good to know.

We only had one day and night at the hotel but it was A+. The manager was so helpful when I realized that I had left my dress at home. We had come down for a wedding, arriving 3 hours before, the staff went into full gear to help me. I did find a dress that one of the other guests had brought along and it fit perfect.
The room was so cool and inviting upon our arrival on a hot day it makes you relax at once.
Remember that there is no TV in the room so the man in your life will need to go down to the bar to catch that week-end game.

This hotel rates amongst the best we. Have stayed at with amazing service throughout our stay.
Particularly our room (#22) on the second floor next to the water mill and fountain were an idyllic setting.
The general manager Herta and her staff made everything in their power to guarantee the success of our stay, to celebrate our 1-yr anniversary.
The pool and Spa in a great environment helped us relax when we were coming from wine tasting in the Sonoma region. A definite must and repeat.
