The website for Safari Motor Inn looks far better than the property actually is, but the owner and family were very cordial, helpful and friendly to us. They also were one of the few places in the area that was dog-friendly, and allowed us to stay with our 2 small dogs (for an additional charge).
The non-smoking rooms are fairly tidy, and well-kempt, but nothing fancy. The bathrooms were very vintage style with original tile--we thought that was cool. The rest of the furnishings were standard cheap motel polyester and bad artwork. We liked that there was a 2nd door that opened into a sheltered courtyard.
It looks like they are working on expanding and also doing some gardening work on the old courtyard. They have a pool but it was not available for us to use during our visit.
We would probably stay here again next time we pass through the area.
