“Amazing Find”
Reviewed April 1, 2013

Sculpture out in the High Desert, off the beaten track, down a dirt road. Some whimsical, some funny, some serious, some goofy. An amazing site, actually, with an interesting history behind it. Off the wall. Bring a camera.

Free and you can just park across the street and walk in. Wear comfortable shoes for the desert sand, and be cautious of the abundant pokey cacti.

Suggest early AM, as it can get pretty hot up there.

Bring water. Also, saw no bathroom facilities. The site had no supervision at the time we were there, so couldn't ask.

“See it soon before it's gone”
Reviewed March 27, 2013

What a neat place and neat person behind it. It's fascinating to see all the art Purifoy created just for his own amusement/reasons, and how creative he was. But see it soon, as it is quickly deteriorating into the ground. Also, this is not a place for little kids. They probably wouldn't appreciate the art, and there's lots of glass, rusty nails, etc.

“Surreal art installation--see it before it decays”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

There is a foundation trying to save this unusual art installation by an LA area artist who spent years in the desert creating his found-art sculptures. More donations are needed to preserve this peice of Americana.

“Check this out, and bring your camera”
Reviewed January 12, 2013

Fairly bizarre. You do need to see it. It's being looked after, and is still in quite good nick, although Noah died a few years ago. I have some pretty exceptional photos.
