Description: The epicenter of Sonoma Coast dining...the River's End is located in the quaint village of Jenner by the Sea about 20 minutes north of Bodega Bay. The restaurant is set on a bluff overlooking the Russian River spill into the Pacific Ocean. During lunch you can watch the Osprey dive in the river for fish or the harbor seals frolic at riverside. Dinner time is all about the sunset - the show is worth the visit. Fortunately, the restaurant chefs and service staff aim to outdo the natural surroundings. The kitchen prepares California cuisine with a focus on local ingredients. Chef Martin Recoder prepares menus that are changing with the seasons and delight the heart. The service staff is led by Maitre d'/Owner Bert Rangel, who has owned and managed the restaurant for over 10 years. The Chef in the Redwood Bar is talented Patrick Keane. Trained at the French Culinary Institute, Patrick utilizes the freshest ingredients and classic techniques to create truly "Artisanal Cocktails".

“Great Location with very good food”

Just can't beat the location, looking over the mouth of the Russian River. And the food was very good, although a bit pricey. Their fresh salmon was the best.

“Salmon! Salmon! Everywhere!”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

We celebrated a milestone and stayed on the Sonoma Coast, so we splurged and ate at River's End Restaurant for the BIG DAY. We love Salmon, and since it's King Salmon Season, we went all out. We shared, and ordered Salmon Crudo and Salmon Chowder to start off. They were both delicious, but agreed we wished we ordered two chowders. The Crudo was sashimi-esque, fresh and unique, and served beautifully. The Chowder was to die for. Dinner of bread and chowder would have been memorable! I ordered the Salmon and Asparagus, and Sweetheart ordered the Southwest Salmon. They were both fresh, imaginative, and delightful, and cooked perfectly. These are truly 'Chef' inspired and prepared meals, and worth the price. We got a bottle of Hart's Desire Russian River Valley Viognier, and it paired well with all four salmon dishes. Dinner was SOOO good, we even ordered the homemade strawberry ice cream (and I can count on one hand how many times I have ordered dessert.) Lichi was our server, and was helpful, attentive, and not intrusive. Most tables are arranged so you have a wonderful view of the sunset, and it was gorgeous that day. We ate early, so parking was easily available, but it is limited. We'll be back.

“Best salmon ever”
Reviewed July 22, 2014

Visited this restaurant in early July with my girlfriend and she had the best salmon she's ever had, and she loves salmon and has had it at a lot of places. Plus the service and scenery were incredible.

“Very nice”
Reviewed July 19, 2014 via mobile

In spite of our bad timing ( We arrived here between the lunch and dinner hours), we were able to sit at the bar and order appetizers and drinks. Our chowder and tuna appetizers were delicious. We then proceeded to the porch for an amazing view of the ocean. Worth the trip!

“Good food, great views”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

Eaten here multiple times for special occasions and at the end of wine trips through Russian River and Sonoma valley. Great place to grab a drink and watch the sunset, and also a great place to enjoy a yummy dinner. Parking is a bit tough, both in and out of the area surrounding River's End Restaurant, so try to get there early or be ready to be patient / creative.
