Armstrong Woods with a lunch at Cafe Aquatica is a perfect respite from wine tours day. The food is healthy and yummy. The ambience is gorgeous. A plus

Driving through Jenner and found the Cafe Aquatica with a view of paddlers on the water. The salads and sandwiches were very fresh and organic. Everything is made on the spot so it does take awhile to get served. But while waiting we listening to a duo play great listening music on the small deck. Or you can sit and relax on the deck chairs. The one drawback is that there are restroom facilities in the Cafe and the ones available behind the Post Office are outhouses.

We stopped here today and couldn't believe all the amazing write-ups on tripadvisor. I ordered the clam chowder. One clam, basically potato soup with todays bread, not croutons. Super disappointing. My wife had the BLAT, bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato sandwich which was OK, but overpriced as was my supposed clam chowder. To top it off, no restrooms. You have to go over to a public toilet on the other side of the post office, which in fact is a Park Service type pit toilet with no running water. There must be a lot of California hippies still around who think this is great, but they should get out to somewhere else for a change -- for the better!!

We're always on the hunt for organic food, and my sister got a salad here that she thought was one of the best restaurant meals ever. We had the clam chowder, which was excellent. The humorous young man who took our orders declared it the best in the world. Maybe not quite, but close! We liked the gentle guitar combo playing on the deck, and the other choices looked so good that it was hard to pick just one.

We took off one "star" for service since it was a little slow, but that was because just one server was trying to hand pour coffee and keep up with a constant stream of customers. And the plates were beautifully presented. The salad would have done the chef of any fine restaurant proud.

The prices are not low, but the quality is so high that you couldn't expect to pay less. We were really glad we stopped and took a look at the menu. Don't pass it by!
