Really glad to see a dedicated fresh fish restaurant in Irvine. A great healthy alternative for lunch. The food is generally good, I've usually had the Mahi Mahi or daily fresh fish selection. The challenge with this restaurant is the layout and design of the place is really challenging. First you wait in line to order at the register, sometimes the lines can be long, with people halfway in and out of the front doors. After you order, you fill your own drinks at the soda machine. They have one tiny soda machine for the entire restaurant, and they serve one size of drinks in really small cups, so you've got to make multiple trips. Next to the soda machine is a salsa bar, and that whole part of the restaurant just gets jammed packed with people waiting. They do bring your orders to your table, but the pick up and clean up is generally pretty slow. The patio is much better for less harried seating. I'd give the food four stars and the general experience there two stars for an average of three. Great concept but poorly designed and executed.
