“What a place!”
Reviewed July 1, 2013

This is an awesome bakery. The food is really good, but what is extra ordinary is the whole experience of buying the food. One of friends from the east coast said that standing in the line to get in was the exciting thing for him! Anyway, food is excuisite and we'd always go back.

“Overrated”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

Maybe we have too many outstanding asian bakery in the silicon valley such as Paris Baguette, Sung Kee, and Sogo, the bread in this bakery is nothing comparing to those three I just mentioned. I would not have waited in line to get into the shop, and we tried the food during the weekend when there was no wait. The only thing special about this place was the Salt Ice Coffee.

“Good Asian Cake in Irvine”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

This bakery is located within the Diamond Jamboree Center at the corner of Jamboree & Alton. This bakery is often packed with a queue outside the bakery. The bakery itself produces good cakes & bread products suited for Asian tongues. The bakery supposedly originates in Taiwan & Irvine is its 1st American branch.

In Asia (whether Japan, Singapore, Malaysia or Indonesia as examples), there are much better Asian & fusion bakeries but so far nothing like it in Irvine so it does attract a good share of Asian patrons from various countries.

“Beautiful baked goods”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

Despite the longish line, it was a pretty efficient set up and the food was very tasty.

We got a Chocolate Chip Bowl, Mable Taro, Milk Pudding, Premium Mango, Red Bean Bread and Taro Swirl.

“So overrated”
Reviewed April 27, 2013

I honestly don't think their stuff is anything special. Just an average bakery shop. Totally don't understand why people make such a big deal about it. I definitely will not wait on line just to get into the shop. If you want to try it just because so many people brag about how good they are, go on the weekdays when there's no line. You'll see what I mean. There are other bakeries that I believe are much better than this.
