“Excellent Memorial for our Veterans”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 23, 2012

This Memorial is well worth the time to visit in remembrance of recent military personnel sacrifices. It's in Irvine, CA, at the intersection of Yale and Bryan. Best of all, it's open and free to the public. This Memorial is the result of true grass root efforts by many in the community that used this space to honor veterans for many years. The city of Irvine in turn rewarded this effort by allowing a permenant Memorial to be on site. Special services are held on Memorial Day and Veterans Day.

Nothing like it in California, let alone in Irvine. Everyone should take the time to honor these veterans.

“wonderful memorial”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 7, 2012

One day I was running and came upon the the beginning of this memorial to all service members who have lost their lives in the Iraq War. In the beginning it was wooden sticks with service member pictures, area of service. date they were killed. My husband was in Iraq at the time so I walked over to see what was going on. I was stunned to see the names of the men in his unit who had recently been killed by an roadside bomb. They were in the army and from a New York Unit and here in a small park in Irvine they were being honored. I was so moved. After several years the Memorial took full bloom. This is the only all service memorial in the country to list the men and woman who gave their lives in the war on terror. Their names now etched in stone.. On Veterans Day and Memorial Day they have a lovely ceremony.
