“WORST venue concert experience ever.”

Approximately 16 friends I purchased General Admission (lawn) tickets. The last time I came here was in the early 90’s, and the experience this time was not what I remembered.

Parking: It took over an hour to exit the parking lot after the concert. The lot was not difficult to get into, but it seemed like there was only one exit when leaving which took forever. The worst part about the parking lot was the lack of porta potties. We only saw about three individually placed units, and one that we went to was locked. I recommend that you bring a roll of TP also because it didn’t exist in the units that were there. The worst part was that people were so tired of waiting for the single porta potty that everyone was going into the bushes to pee. Some were just opening their car door and squatting in on the ground. Puddles of pee were all over the place.

The restrooms weren’t much better for the General Admission crowd inside the venue. Lines at the restrooms were almost an hour long. If you think about it and add up the cost to purchase a beer plus by your ticket, you are loosing about $50 each time you go to the bathroom in missed performance time alone. Just like the parking lot people were fed up with waiting in line were hopping the fence to pee in the bushes. Other just leaned up against the fence with there backs turned. This included the women who backed up to the fence and squatted. All this was happening in the middle of people walking past.

The hill for the General Admission crowd is very steep and the grass is very slippery. You spend the entire concert standing to see anything and most of you time is spent trying to keep from sliding down the hill. Make sure not to wear sandals or heals. Wear shoes with traction.

Exiting the venue just to get to the parking lot tool over ½ hour with thousands of people body to body, inching down the hill to the one and only exit. Talk about a panic attack. If one person had fallen over, it would have been like dominoes, all the way down the hill.

This by far was the WORST venue concert experience I have ever had and it was not because of the performers!!

Nice venue to enjoy good music with a picnic beforehand on the grounds. Usually each program features a guest singer/musician or some type of theme, ending with a fireworks finale for the last show of the summer season.

We went here to see Joan Jett this past week and found seating to be well spread out, rows not right on top of each other, and venue is not so massive that you can't see stage. Besides the big screens compensate for that. It was really a good place for concerts.

We were only here once to see a classical concert and it was a good venue. There is also lawn seating at the lower price for families.

Come early and picnic on the lawns. We have been there and enjoyed a band playing while we sat on the lawn dining and this was before the concert we paid to enjoy. They are well organized so even leaving the venue goes smoothly. Go for one of the fireworks evenings - get seats on the far side from entry to be furthest from where they set off that show. Watch for bargain tickete on Goldstar. They have large screens to project the musicians and conductors and very good amplification so sitting down front is not the defining way to attend and enjoy the concerts. Enjoy music under the stars, have a view of the Spectrum and its Ferris wheel lit up. This is a truly enjoyable part of summer in Orange County.
