Very welcoming church! Visiting from England and staying just across the street from the church... read more
If you have some difficult questions for the people at Mariner's Church, they may ask you to stop or else they will call the police. It will be very tough for any non-Christian to come to their church. You really need to follow their rules or else they will ask you to leave. I thought this is common in a Korean church. I was very wrong. I thought we have greater freedom to speak our minds freely in an American church, but you have to be careful what you say or else they will call the police and ask you to leave. Even though I believe most of the doctrines at Mariner's, I have some major disagreements on the End Times/Tribulations interpretations on the book of Revelation. They seriously don't welcome it when it can possibly hurt their church offerings and income. It is a good lesson for me that Americans are just like other Koreans in terms of authoritative power and respect. You need to kiss butt and flatter the leadership to get by. It is unfortunate that many at Mariner's do not appreciate any honesty.
Large beautiful campus, friendly staff. There is an excellent kids program to drop your children off
Had a conference at Mariners church and loved every minute of my time there. Beautiful campus and lots of great things going on there.
this church is very welcoming to visitors, excellent music and message. The church also has a bookstore and restaurant
I am not an Evangelical, nor a traditional Christian, but I must admit this campus is impressive. The buildings are architecturally beautiful and the scope of the campus is huge. One s question recorded in the chapel, apparently to be asked of oneself, caught my attention- roughly “do I spend too much time questioning my religion?” In my view, that is a problematic question.
Great service, friendly people, very accommodating and welcoming it was a pleasure to meet all there
