“Bar with a nice patio area”
Reviewed March 25, 2013

The bar itself is the typical small bar, but they have a nice patio area in the back. It's a great place to kick back and have a romantic drink or two .

“A Locals Joint Needing Some TLC”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

This is a nice watering hole that needs a new owner. The owner is absentee from San Diego and has no real concern for the locals and thus this place has suffered. The locals know what is up and they just don't come in like they used to. But the manager is a really good guy and he wants to see the place come back to its former glory. We support them but wish for better days under a better owner.

“Remarkable steaks in the desert”
Reviewed August 7, 2012

We passed by Inyokern by chance, driving from Sequoia National Park to Lone Pine. After the Walker Pass we realized it was better to stop for dinner, to avoid a fasting evening.
Inyokern is a "nice" sleepy village (do not forget the desert location) not far from Ridgecrest, a traditional gateway to the Death Valley. The road from the pass passes through a grove of Joshua Trees, which make the arrival to Inyokern picturesque.
But you can get easy there by the Freeway to Mammouth Lakes.
I liked very much the restaurant. Very helpful and kind waitress.
Clean and quite dining room.
Food available until 9 pm, which is not automatic in the area.
We took fajitas and steak. The quality of the meat was so ehow superb.
The postre (dessert) was delicious as well.
Last, but not least, do not expect expensive bills...
Too far from my routes to get back, but if it happens that I will be at less than 80 miles, I will take time to visit them again.
