...maybe a friend and I were here on the wrong night. First off, the waitress was overworked and borderline rude. Other staff was friendly. The restaurant is pleasant to look at but because of the layout was very noisy. The bar and dining room are right in the same room. If you wanted to have a conversation you had to shout. The food was lacking. Pizza hard as cardboard, the crab cake was over fried. Menu choices were very limited. The place was recommended by the lady who ran our hotel. A safe bet I won't be returning!

We stopped here after hiking around Pt. Reyes. The staff was friendly and chatted to us about the local sights and our dining choices. Our oysters were absolutely delicious-- we had a couple of raw local oysters as well as their specialty Oysters Casino. They also have a pizza oven, so our oyster-averse kids were taken care of as well. Lots of interesting wine choices, and the decor is streamlined and lovely. I'll definitely be back.

...there were too many little things that were not perfect. It felt like they just recently started (maybe the staff is all new, I don't know), and there are a lot of bumps which still have to be ironed out (and they are trying). It started with the Hostess, it was a busy night, and she was completely overwhelmed with seating the people. She also clearly did not keep track of who arrived first, as we could have been seated way ahead of others (same number) who arrived earlier than us (but we did not, because we were nice :).
Then, a lot of the already very limited menu was out, which in the end was not too bad, because every single item on the menu seemed intriguing. The food we had was excellent, and the suggested wine pairing was also great.
Sitting at the bar, close to the entrance to the kitchen, we could witness some things not going too well, also. It's a nice idea to serve individual french presses for coffee, but then please know how to brew coffee in them (the staff apparently did not). The cute thing (and this is why a lot of this is forgivable) was that we could observe the boss running back and forth from bar to kitchen, shaking his had and instructing his staff. He himself was a great guy, very knowledgable when it comes to wine, and I had very nice chats with him on that subject.

I will be back, hopefully when it's not that busy, and some of the minor adjustments have been done, and then I'm pretty sure it will be a five star.

Also, for a remote location like this, this is a real gem!

We are foodies and stumbled on this little restaurant. Food was fabulous, great seasonings, fresh, nice presentation. This is a low key, down to earth restaurant. They open at 5 so come early so you can get a table or sit at the bar. Absolutely loved this place and will return soon. We brought our own bottle of wine so I have no comment on their wine selection. Delicious oysters. The delivery of the food was slow, but we were not in a hurry. It was well worth the wait.

We stopped by for a late lunch after hiking. The pizza, oysters and pulled-pork sandwich were all great. Nice wine and beer list. If it is sunny, sit on the patio: the view is great, and if you can ignore the parking lot right next it you, it is very pleasant.
