We stayed at the WorldMark Indio for spring break in March 2013. While the resort was at capacity, it didn't feel crowded as there is plenty of room. The large resort is nicely spaced, there are multiple pools at each end (toddler pool, large pool, hot tub and at one end of the resort a lazy river), walking from one end of the resort to another you are met with long trails of very nice landscaping- a duckpond, a toddler playground and lots of flowers and plants. The entire resort is very clean and well kept. There is also an entertainment area with a movie theater, game room, pool table and air hockey tables along with a place where they hold activities like special craft times. They are extremely family friendly and have a daily schedule of things going on throughout the resort that you can take part in. Really you can be as busy or relaxed as you like. We felt very safe to have two children go to the movie theater on the grounds by themselves as there were lots of staff around and so many families. We spent a week and had a wonderful time!

The only drawback is that the resort is sort of out in the middle of nowhere, so you definitely want to bring your own food. The condos all have full kitchens, so it is easy to cook all meals at the resort but be prepared to bring in all your food as really only snacks are available for sale. A few miles down the road is a Target and a large grocery store, with some fast food restaurants as well. We cooked all meals in our condo and it worked out great. Each condo also has a small patio overlooking a section of the resort and we ate out on that a lot.

Overall a great place to bring the family and enjoy a week in the desert!

Room Tip: If you have a condo overlooking any of the pools it is a little louder than a condo in the middle of...

My family and I vacationed in Indio, CA this September and stayed at WorldMark. We had a great time! WorldMark Indio is a great value for this area. It is a little bit off the beaten path but it is a very easy drive to get to the more developed areas of Palm Desert and Palm Springs. There are a ton of great hiking areas/trails very close by and Joshua Tree National Park was very easy to get to. We golfed at the course that is attached to the WorldMark for very cheap. The course was in good condition for the time of year and the temperature. There are two pools at WorldMark, both of which were very cool which was great for the 90+ temperatures we experienced. We cooked two full dinners for a group of 9 and the kitchen had all of the essentials that were needed. I would recommend WorldMark to anyone interested in the Palm Desert/Indio area looking for a great value.

Ok. we booked here because it was supposed to be great for kids. the lazy river, multiple pools, rec room, etc. We had been to other WorldMarks and the kids could go to the pool, and we, the adults, could do other things. Boy, were we surprised. The kids can't go into the pools or lazy river without an adult. They even have lifeguards here. The other worldmarks we visit have no lifeguards and they don't care about kids being in the pool. I think if there is a lifeguard, a kid should be able to swim in a pool without an adult present. my kids are 11 and 15. what a waste of a good resort. why, as a worldmark member, do I have to have my dues go to paying lifeguards if I cant leave my kids there.

Stayed the week of 110113,only 2 seniors staying in a 2 br. Good thing, the 2nd br had 2 twin beds in it. Rooms were smallish compared to where we usually stay. Master br had tub/shower combo, the tub was only 18-20 inches wide. smallest I have ever seen. Over 300 rooms in 15 buildings, ALL faced onto some sort of water view, most had pool view, if not then "river" view. Each pool had 2 spas with it, plus 5 other spas located throughout the property. Also had a lazy river, maybe 150-200 yards long. Looks a lot larger in the website photos. Is not near anything. After taking the correct I10 exit you go north about 5 miles to the resort. If you go south at the turnoff, you will get into Indio proper and lots of shops there. Grounds were exquisite, 2 golf courses surrounded the 'outside' of the condo grounds. Every night we could hears coyotes, 4 legged kind, yelping off in the distance. 27 mile or 40 minute ride to Palm Springs if you are so inclined. We weren't on this trip, have been there many times in the past. No restaurant on site, pool snack bar had some overpriced goodies. if you like being in the middle of nowhere, this is the place, felt safe the whole time. A nice place to get away from it all. Oh yeah, each unit has its own BBQ on its balcony. Ground floor units have BBQ on their patio.

Room Tip: We stayed in building 7, between the 2 huge pools. Looked like buildings 4-11 got the morning sun o...

We took our 4 year old grandson for a week at the beginning of November. The resort was very clean and the grounds were well maintained. We had a 1 bedroom unit. The living room/kitchen area was spacious. Each unit had a balcony with a grill. We ended up eating breakfast and dinner in and spent late afternoon outside at the pool and playground. There was a large activity are in the center of the resort. It contained a large pool, a kids pool, playground, short lazy river, and 2 hot tubs. There was an additional activity area not too far away with everything but the lazy river, but on a slightly smaller scale. We did not use the basketball or tennis courts. Didn't see a basketball, I think you need to rent one. We did use the gym, a good amount of equipment, all in very good condition. There were also pingpong and pools tables, but you had to pay. We did not go to the kids activities as we were sightseeing. There were shopping plazas nearby for groceries. We visited the Living Zoo (fantastic), hiked to the oasis in the Coachella preserve (free, labeled hike), the Aerial tram, and the Air Museum. It was an easy ride to each location. We used an RCI exchange for the trip.

Room Tip: Buildings 1-7 were closest to the larger pool area, fine for the quiet season or if you are with chi...

My wife and I had a chance to exchange a week of our timeshare and decided to select the Palm Springs area and had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condominium. The resort is nice and is located along what used to be Landmark Golf Course (now Terra Lago) in Indio where the PGA Skins Game from the mid 90's to the early-to-mid 2000's.

The resort has a nice layout; however, its location is somewhat of a detractor given wherever you want to go is a 30 minute drive. The other drawback is how thin the walls and doors are so nearly everything around you is heard, which can make resting at night problematic.

Some of the patrons were younger and loud at times, but overall the experience was nice. Not sure we will go back, but grounds are pleasant and the employees truly helpful - great people.

Room Tip: Stay on the north, northeast side of the resort as it is quieter and fewer people.
