“Nice place, almost perfect!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

We stayed here from March 27 - April 5th, overlapping multiple weeks of Spring Break (unfortunately for us). We had a top floor 1 bedroom in Building 6, one of the buildings renovated for Wyndham. It was fresh and clean, and everything worked - the knives were even sharp for once!

* The positives:
Great pool areas with many chairs
Onsite market for last minute (expensive) items
Quiet location, surrounded by a golf course
Lots of activities if you are into that
Gas grill on every deck
Murphy bed much nicer and less obtrusive than a sofa bed
Nice and close to Salton Sea and Joshua Tree
Decent walking and lots of bird and bunny sightings

* The negatives:
Would've liked an adults-only pool, since there are multiple pool areas
Our bedroom window faced east, so there was NO SLEEPING IN. Bad for vacations. We ended up thumbtacking a blanket over the window for some light control (only translucent blinds were provided).
Pretty far away from the activities in Palm Springs, etc.
Electric range (makes no sense since grills were gas)
Huge bathroom with very tiny vanity area

All things considered, I would stay here again - we had a great time and weren't in our unit all that much anyway, and it was fun to explore a different part of the Coachella Valley.

Room Tip: Building 6 was pretty quiet - away from both pool areas!

We spent Spring Break at this resort with our 10 year old twins, our 8 year old and my husband's parents. Initially, the visit started rough as they messed up the reservation and instead of a 2 bedroom we ended up in 2, 1 bedroom suites, a floor apart. To make up for this travesty, we received...wait for it....a coupon for a free movie rental at the front desk. WOW. Anyway, we moved on as the desk was unwilling and unable to change the reservation as the resort was FULL. So, we had a one bedroom on the first floor which was nice. Each suite has it's own grill which was fabulous and we used it several nights. The bed in the master was a cal king...so HUGE! I didn't bump into my husband in bed at all, all week! The murphy bed in the living room was a queen and worked perfect and was comfortable ( I know this as I drank too much wine one night and fell asleep there). Our 8 year old slept on the non-pullout sofa and it was fine. There was an island with a bar and the kitchen was fully furnished with dishes and cookwear. We had a stackable washer and dryer and a HUGE bathroom that was a tub and toilet and single sink.
The resort is lovely and landscaped very nice. it is very very clean...except for the duck poop. That is everywhere as the ducks wander everywhere and swim in the pools when it is quiet....spoiler alert...you will find feathers in every pool and hot tub. Lots of chairs at the pool and shade if you need it. There are pools at each end of the complex with hot tubs and kiddie pools too. There are play structures with recycled tires as the bark underneath them. We left the resort twice; once to get groceries at WinCo, which is about a mile away and once to see Palm Springs. Do you party and have loudness and chaos in your group?....don't stay here as it is quiet and mainly has older folks and families with smaller kids. There were teenagers and college aged kids but they were quiet and just hung out....no parties or pool shenanigans. Security was great and their presence was subtly known (you would see them patroling but never felt watched). Life guards were on duty and policed the pool appropriately. Lazy river was great and was where we stayed the most. Shuffleboard and games/activities are also available and scheduled nightly.
We would go back and we had fun.

Room Tip: We stayed in building 7 and that was smack-dab in the middle of the complex, which was perfect for w...

Greetings were and are friendly; easy check-in, good follow through on meeting guest needs. Beautiful desert scene. Family fun with lots to do from game room to pools of cold blue water and the most appealing, "The Lazy River," floating pool. Nice!!

My husband and I checked in here for three nights. Front desk was very very busy with only two people working but everything went smoothly. Stayed in a 1 bedroom in building 6. Was told it was newly renovated. Some of the bathroom tiles were broke and missing parts of, front burner on the stove did not work, art work looked like flea market type. No information about the surrounding area, things to do, restaurants, bars, etc, in the room. A big plus is that each unit has a bbq. When I reported the front burner they told me to tell them upon checkout and they would have someone look at it, huh? But, oh well, that's what I did. The pools and grounds are wonderful and nicely kept up. Big minus for us no bar or restaurant on the property. We did walk over to the golf course and have a drink but otherwise had to drive to dinner. Morning walks are especially fun watching the rabbits and roadrunners! Not sure if we would stay there again.

We just finished a week in a 2BR unit (Building 4, Room 104). The room is nicely appointed with just about everything you need. Everything in the room worked well--except the beds and shades. We have a Tempurpedic at home and it took about 5 nights to be able to adjust to these beds. And by "adjust" I mean lots of coffee and ibuprofen each morning. The master bedroom faces east, and the window only has blinds which do not keep out the morning sun if you want to sleep in. This building is far enough away from the main pool so that you don't hear the screaming kids, but easily close enough to walk to. It is adjacent to the laundry/maintenance building, so there is a fair amount of traffic nearby (golf carts from maintenance workers, maid service carts, etc). The grounds/pools/hot tubs, etc. are beautiful and well kept. As other reviewers have noted, there is no on site restaurant. I'm not sure why that is, as this location has 430 units. The on site store has all the basics and there is a Winco and Super Target a few miles away.

We did have ONE MAJOR complaint. We arrived on a Saturday, and on Sunday the unit next to ours was having some major repairs/renovations being done. The maintenance worker had a tile saw (!) set up less than 10 feet from our front door and was cutting tile throughout the day. There was quite a bit of drilling, pounding, etc. that could be heard and felt in our unit. This continued on for several days and complaints to the management were not responded to--and by that time we didn't feel like packing up and relocating to another unit. We were out of our room most of the time so we managed to deal with it, but I can't believe they didn't warn us prior to placing us in this room.

In addition to this, our upstairs neighbors were LOUD enough that we had to knock on their door at 11:30 pm after being awoken from all the heavy footsteps. This happened on at least two nights. We did request an upstairs room (as advised by several reviewers) but none were available at check in.

So, if you can get an upstairs room and manage to have considerate neighbors and no renovations/repairs near by, you should have a great time at this place.

Room Tip: Request an upstairs room to avoid all the noise from maid service carts and loud neighbors.

Stayed with family member s who are part of ownership group. Easy, relaxing setting and no sales pitch! We stayed in 3 bedroom unit with plenty of room. Not a golfer but walked the perimeter of course on berm with a beautiful views. Little cool to use pool, (Early February) but did enjoy the sun when the wind died down. Many amenities on site and the Lazy River store came in handy!

This is a nice resort that has all kind of amenitities. The resort ground is beautiful with great pools and jacuzzis, a lazy river, a pond with lots of flowers around, a market, a gym, and children's playground. There's also a golf court for golfers. This is a great place if you just want to stay in the resort and relax for a couple days. But if you like to go out and do things, it is kind of far away from everything. It is half an hour drive to down town Palm Spring.

This is a family friendly resort, so it is kind of hard to get an unit that is quiet. We asked for a quiet unit but was given a unit facing children's playground.

Other than that, it is not bad in general.

Room Tip: Ask for a unit facing the pond if you want a quiet unit.
