Dined at Cafe Italia last night with two coworkers. We were looking for a good meal at a reasonable price in Indian Wells, and following other Trip Advisor recommendations we decided to give it a try. We were very pleased with our meals (they offered sand dabs as a special that night, a personal favorite - yum!), the service was attentive but not obtrusive, they have a relatively small but good selection of both California and Italian wines, and the servers entertained the diners by singing show tunes and opera selections every 15 minute or so, which was great fun. And they all sang quite well, too. All in all, a very enjoyable dinner and dining experience at a reasonable price, about $135 for a party of three including full dinners (minestrone, salad, bread, entree with sauteed veggies and scalloped potatoes) and a nice bottle of Italian Super Tuscan wine). When I am here again, I'll definitely go back.

We had this restaurant recommended to us by the bartender at out hotel lounge. It's a small restaurant located in a strip mall next to a super market. With all the options in the area to dine at I am quite sure we wouldn't have tried this place if not for the insider tip. We loved it! We enjoyed the food but what they lacked in authenticity they made up for in entertainment value. Having various wait staff break out into song and try and get a sing along started was great fun. We highly recommend this place if you are looking for a different kind of dining experience.

Tucked away next to Ralphs supermarket is this little Italian restaurant. We ate here whilst on our California tour from Uk. The food was really tasty (eggplant in tomato sauce and lasagne). All food comes with bean soup for starter with bread, followed by salad then the mains. The staff break out into song every few minutes ranging from opera to cabaret which was a little unusual but an interesting experience. The mains are priced around $20 each. I recommend this place if you fancy a different dining experience.

My husband and I came here for dinner..what fantastic service and wait staff!..and they are beautiful opera singers! What amazing voices they had! The food was very good...nothing extraordinarily spectacular, but reliable good Italian food...well worth the experience, singing, and ambiance. The price ends up being very fair, as all dinners are served with a small bowl of pasta fagioli (traditional Italian navy bean soup), a delicious good sized green (not iceberg-yay!) cold salad with a very tasty vinagrette, and such yummy crusty bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We had the chicken parmagiana which was very moist, served with sliced potatoes in an alfredo sauce and zucchini, and my husband custom built his penne pasta with mushrooms and sausages. We topped off our dinner with the spumoni ice cream which was just to die for. Sooo good! Definitely worth a visit or two!

If you are looking for something different and fun, you’ll likely find Café Italia to be a nice change of pace. Singing waiters engage patrons and take turns performing solo and in small groups. While the performances slow service a bit on a busy night, the change of pace and festive atmosphere made up for it on our recent visit.

Our table of four sampled chicken piccata and a large bone-in veal parmesan entree that were both delicious. The spaghetti Bolognese could have used a bit more seasoning but was still tasty. Entree prices were very reasonable as was most of the wine list (no cocktails). The menu includes pasta, seafood, steak and chicken as well as a number of specials each evening.

Café Italia’s interior space is small but cozy – certainly nothing fancy, and they have a small patio located out front. On this Friday night the place was packed and people without reservations were turned away. Café Italia’s slogan is “all dinners include soup, salad and signing.”
