Upon arriving we were greeted to a very friendly front desk staff that told us our room was ready. That was a pleasant surprise because generally if you arrive before check in time @ a hotel you can expect to wait. Our room was nice on the 5th floor overlooking the 18th hole & the beautiful mountains but that's pretty much where it stops there. The room was really dirty but we didn't complain bc we didn't want to move & possibly lose our great view. Bathroom doors around handles were black, mold in the corner of the tub & so much dust around the refrigerator it looked like it was taking a life of its own! Whenever we called to front desk it would ring for a very long time before anyone would pickup. In the fitness center locker rooms there were no robes, slippers, no combs, razors or lotions & limited towels. When you're taking a steam, sauna or hot tub you would expect to have these items available. Pool service was very slow to the point we left the property to get lunch. Overall a beautiful property that has been very neglected in service & cleanliness.

Thank you for sharing with us your positive arrival experience and how much you liked our physical property. We're very disappointed to hear however, that your guest room did not receive the cleaning that it should have in advance of your visit and we will address this at once. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We're also very sorry to hear that our pool team and phone ambassadors did not provide the level of service that is always our goal. We did want to point out that towels are generally available in our fitness area and that we do provide robes, slippers and grooming products in our spa. Our property is a little unique in that the spa and fitness room are in different parts of the resort.

It's a 3.5 stars. We stayed for 1 night. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed the nice pool area, the comfy lounge chairs, the high-tech gym, and fireplaces. The resort itself is nice with large swimming pool and 2 Jacuzzi. The only drawback is that both Jacuzzi allow children, and so was the swimming pool as well. It would be nice if they can have at least 1 adult pool and Jacuzzi.

Parking can be challenging. Check-in didn't take too long, though we thought the service could be more welcoming and helpful. No bell service offered. No introduction or explanation of the resort or restaurants or anything at all.

The room was average and standard. Nothing fancy but quite roomy. The bathroom has not been cleaned thoroughly, and there was stains and marks on the bed sheets.

There are 2 elevators, however the pool one was out of service. It's a long walk and wait to catch the elevator.

For $200/night, we feel like this is just an average option. Nice, but certain things can be improved.

Room Tip: Close to elevator if you don't want to walk.

Large hotel perfect for group meetings. Plenty of pools and water. Very comfortable beds in the rooms. We had all our meals outside in the nice setting and perfect weather. Hotel offered Yoga and Pilates classes which were both great.

One key is the rooms can be a short hike from the main lobby. If you need a closer room be sure to request it.

We self parked and the lot was surprisingly close to the main entrance.

If you are heading this was from Orange County it is a beautiful scenic drive across highway 74.

This is a great place to stay if you want to relax by the pool, work out in the fitness studio, or in the evening, add some romance by sitting at one of the fire pits near the pool. The ambiance is quiet with relaxing music, except for the few times that kids run through like a small herd of elephants. The rooms are very comfortable, and the beds are great. The pillows could use some improvement, and the bathrooms are average.

This is a marvelous place to stay if you are looking for some days to relax and find yourself. The people working there are really enjoying what they do. They are smiling, trying to make you feel special.
Food is delicious it doesn't matter what you eat you will find the best quality, fresh seafood, great meat, etc.
The spa is wonderful, prices are good, time for each treatment is enough. I would definitly go again some day.

This was our second stay at this property, both times in a Suite. The rooms have been updated but interestingly enough, the bathrooms are very outdated. Tiny showers, old tile, dated vanity and gold plated fixtures. There was no place to place the shampoo, conditioner etc while in the shower (except on the floor) because there was only a soap holder and nothing else. I can't really understand why Marriott would go through the trouble of updating their rooms but not the bathrooms, especially in the Suites at over $580 a night! I also found the amenities lacking, again especially for a Suite. When we arrived we had to ask for bathrobes (pretty standard in most hotels at the price quoted above) and the amenities were skimpy; small toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and shower gel. That was it. No cotton balls, Q-tips, shower cap etc. The amenity bottles were very small; like something you'd see in a Motel 6.
On a positive note, the beds and pillows were very comfortable and the service was attentive and well-mannered.

Generally speaking, this is a very nice place to stay for a few days on vacation. It's conveniently located with an easy drive to La Quinta and Palm Springs. The grounds are very pretty. Check in was quick and welcoming. We were given a "pool view" room. Ha - was in an inner corner, with a wing to the immediate left, so all we saw there was brick, another wing across the courtyard, and the pool was some distance off to the right. We immediately asked for something more attractive and were moved with no problems to a golf course view, much better!
The room was a good size, though had a "cold" feeling with white, bare walls, the only pattern being in the brown/blue carpet and brown/white wallpaper on one wall. I totally agree with reviewer David that the linens are indeed old and ill-fitting, and the flat, hard little pillows are atrocious.
The parking garage can be quite a walk away; don't go by way of the interior - too many zigzags; quicker to walk out by the pool.
On the plus side, a guest laundry with free washer and dryer (though with a pay machine for soap powder) was nearby on the next floor.
We enjoyed sitting at the attractive bar on the lower lever a couple of times. Michael, our bartender one evening, was quite fun to chat with, and he made a very good martini! We ate at the bar one night and had our choice of ordering off several menus. The chicken quesadilla and turkey meatballs were excellent.

Room Tip: Ask for golf course or mountain view.
