I went with my husband for a business convention. The resort seemed tucked away at the back of a couple of other hotels and a golf course. The front desk area was small and had three little stand up desks to check guests in. (one desk was the concierge desk) Very simple. Open lobby area had all the restaurants and a sweet little hotel guest shop. A coffee/sandwich/bagel area, The Lantana restaurant and over to the left, the Bar/Night Spot. All of this opened up with large glass doors onto a beautiful patio that went the whole length of the restaurant and lounge. Gorgeous! It all overlooked the golf course. Our room was 1326. It was down a long hall off the lobby> I did not want ground floor initially, but our room was a short walk from the lobby, pool, bar, and restaurants. Our back patio overlooked the golf course with mountains looming in the background. nothing to complain about. Our room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Bathrooms very nice. double sink a marital bonus. The first day there, a whole bunch of us gathered around the one pool area with the Road Runner Grill. (many pool areas throughout! very nice. adult and kid friendly ) Had the mahi fish taco's. Delicious! That night was a "pool party" at the same pool area for the business convention. It was outstanding! Impeccable service. and for all of us smokers, there was a small pool off to the side of all this that had a smoking area. bonus. I could go on and on about the food that was served. It was well done and presented in food stations all around the pool. Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. Everyone gravitated to hotel bar after our function. There was live music and dancing every night. Hotel opens the large glass doors that lead to that beautiful patio, fire tables, couches, lovely way to end the night. Hubby's business meeting on site next day. It was a five minute walk across hotel entrance to the hall. He said breakfast selections were very nice. I had a lovely breakfast at the Lantana. I requested a table outside, why would you eat inside? Pricey, not surprising. Yummy, excellent service, ok, that was surprising. I walked the resort after that and found the Adult Pool Area, Rented a Cabana for that afternoon/evening. Service was amazing. and we ordered more fish taco'S & sipped frozen margaritas. The pool was lovely with mountain views all around. The adult area had it's own bar too. just fyi. Second night dinner was off the resort at the golf course next door. Entertainment was fabulous. Food sucked. Ended up back at hotel bar. Music and dancing.
Next day was wonderful. The evening dinner was at the banquet hall on site. The food was amazing. I know! Who would have guessed it?! I had friends who did the spa. They all loved it. Some did excursions, and had a great time too. We were more into relaxing at the pools and enjoying our room with our golf course views.

Room Tip: All the people that had the higher up floors had problems with the birds & their business. I nor...

Avoid the rush of the weekends (too many people). Room with golf course view very comfortable with small lounge and large bathroom but the soundproof could be better (on the first day, the lawn mower of the golf has us waken at 6.30 am so that these sirs can play). Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Good foods. Supplements almost everywhere and prices raised but we are in Palm Springs not in Venice beach...

recently back from a 16 day stay. Room over looking the golf course great view and quiet. Pools excellent, staff available for drinks/food. Bar and restaurant both enjoyable with very friendly and helpful staff. Spa treatments were a joy. With all round friendly and helpful staff we will definitely be back.

Check in was a breeze no wait at all. The hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. Despite not taking full advantage of the amenities available there is a lot on offer. Most notably the golf course which looks amazing. I would love to come back on a golfing holiday. The only downside is the hotel is aimed more at families and older people golfing or looking for a relaxing place to stay. My friends and I are aged 24 and were probably the youngest adults there. I would definitely come back!

First time to this Hyatt although I've known of it for some time. Excited to hear a bit more renovation is coming, but would not know they needed it unless was told. Stag do a great job and are all very personable. The pool facilities were very nice for the spare time I could get to them. Very nice spa and workout facilities. I did take advantage of our groups discount for spa massage and it truly was worth it after some hot golf the day before. Very spacious guest rooms - ask for a golf or mountain view rooms. If you are a couple people definitely see about a villa!

Spent 5 days at this resort with my family, including two kids (8 and 4).

What we liked: Hotel was not crowded, lots of sunshine, close to Joshua Tree, lots of pools! We rented a car, which got us to a nice restaurant each night (searched on Yelp). We spent a lot of each day at the pool and in the sun, which was the main goal since we live in Seattle. Hotel staff was overall very nice and professional. Excellent work out facility, outdoor running path, more golf than you can handle, tennis... resort was in good shape, rooms clean, well kept. Only stayed in rooms for sleep, and everything was great and in fine working order. they also provide towels, lots of towels. The place is huge, and it provides lots of activity for the kids. There were daily book readings and movies, TONS of space to run around, different pools to swim in, one waterslide, mini golf.

Not liked so much: Not close to Palm Springs, its a drive. In fact, rent a car, since you are not close to anything within walking distance (its southern California). Hotel restaurant is good, obviously convenient, but its not a top notch dining experience. Maybe 3.5/5 stars. Not really a complaint on the restaurant; rather a note. It would be great if the hotel added a second restaurant that was top notch. As mentioned, we tried to eat out at night. We had one dinner at hotel (I really liked my dish), and all breakfasts (buffet is >$20/each). Its exactly what we expected, food quality is good. The place is big, which is mostly good, but it can be overwhelmingly here and there during those times you don't want to plan ahead for securing a poolside lounge chair (plan ahead...).

Overall: Great place to get away to and not worry about [--]; nice staff, great weather, decently expensive, but not outrageous (its not a Four Seasons), we would go back again.
