Can't come to the desert and not stop by Vicky's either for dinner or after dinner for some soothing music. The food is very good with a decent wine selection. Family friendly atmosphere and prices. Definitely a tradition and a well kept one

We flew to Indian Wells to see Doug Montgomery who usually plays piano and sings at Vanessie's in Santa Fe. The food was great in this 25 year old establishment and the music was hot. The audience was pretty vocal and also danced. The margarita's were excellent. The Mac and Cheese side dish was enough for an entree and was very good. The steak was cooked to perfection - a house specialty. The Snickers Pie ah la mode was fabulous. definitely save room fro dessert.

We were seeking an excellent local restaurant wherein we would not have to take the car out. (Stayed at the Renaissance Esmeralda). Was able to get the bellman to drive us over in a golf cart! The presentation and teh food was wonderful.. Be careful not to over order as the portions are large.

Based on a Palm Springs resident's recommendation, we spent our last night of our vacation at Vicky's of Santa Fe. The woman advised us to make reservations and to try and catch Doug Montgomery's piano playing in the Lounge. We made reservations for 6:30 PM and arrived at the height of Happy Hour. The bar was jammed. We noticed a few wise people staking out chairs in the Lounge and ordering drinks and food. In the restaurant, we enjoyed an excellent dinner. Another reviewer complained about the nonspicy food. I don't like overly spiced foods which hide flavors so the amount of seasoning on my foods was perfect. My Sea Bass was cooked just right, moist. My husband went wild over the basket of different breads and enjoyed his chicken dinner. Afterwards, we drifted over to the Lounge but found every seat taken, standing room only. We didn't mind standing as the piano player was accompanied by a fiddle player--both excellent players. This restaurant was the perfect place to celebrate our delightful time in the desert. Next time we're in the Valley we'll revisit Vicky's but eat earlier and grab a chair in the Lounge during Happy Hour. Check out their menu and entertainment calendar on their website. This restaurant is a goodie.
