“Beautiful Venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2014

This place is beautiful. We were not here for tennis but for the Lexus Jazz in the Desert concert featuring Dave Koz in a brand new facility at Indian Wells.
The newest venue is a covered but open area for concerts et al. It was a very warm evening and thankfully it is covered and shaded. The only downside if there is one is that seating is all on one level and not tiered but that really wasn’t an issue visibility was quite good.
The surrounding area with palm trees and the mountains made for a very unique evening. The music this night was great and with the sunset and gradual cool down it was a spectacular evening. The entire tennis facility is just that, spectacular. My understanding is that there is an effort underway to make Indian Wells the place to be for the pro tennis circuit.
I think the goal has been achieved.

This venue is phenomenal. Once you walk in it is like entering a different world. This is so much more than a tennis tournament. It feels like going to a different country- fans from all over the world come to this tournament as evidenced by the multitude of languages that are spoken. Everything from the grass areas outside the main stadium to the restaurants and gift shops are first class.

The best part about this tournament? The tennis. This feels like a major. But with one exception, it has phenomenal access to the players. There is one main stadium which is where the big names usually play, which is great but nothing extraordinary. They have a new stadium 2 which is not as big but still quite large and very new and nice. But the best action is found on the smaller outside courts. With your entry ticket you have unlimited access to all the outside courts and can sit almost courtside and watch some of the great players. Watch for a set and then give up your seat and go check out a different match at the next stadium. I would recommend downloading the App which gives you real time info and locations for all the matches. You wont see federer or nadal playing singles on these outside smaller stadiums but you might see some other greats playing doubles or some of the 8-20ish ranked players singles.

There are small waits for some of the more exciting matches, you just wait and they have ushers who let you in during set changes once people leave. The waits aren't too bad as people generally move about the different stadiums frequently. Also, get the practice schedule you can watch all your favorites practice up close and personal (even Federer and Nadal), sometimes they even interact with the fans. Watching the practices was one of the more memorable experiences.

This is a world class tournament in a beautiful part of the country. If you're a tennis fan, this is an experience of a lifetime. FYI book hotels well in advance, this area fills up quickly and you might end up driving a long way if you wait.

“Play were the pro's play”

Since we both are tennis players we wanted to see the venue and try to play here. The park is open to the public, and you can rent a court inside the shop. This is $20 per person per day. For $10 per person they also provide rackets and balls. We got practice court 4 and played there for over 2 hours. Water was provided on court. After that we could use the locker room and showers from the fitness facility. One of the best showers in a sports complex we ever had!
All day Gayle was helping us out and she even arranged that she could give us a real quick behind the scenes stadium tour, we loved it, thank you again!

“Excellent Venue for Watching 1st Class Players”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 31, 2014

We went to this year's BMP Parabas tennis tournament in early March. What an excellent site for watching great tennis. The new additional stadium that includes several restaurants on top is a nice touch. Lot of class here--won't be long before this is the 5th Grand Slam.

“Tennis in the Desert!”

Fabulous set-up with too numerous to count tennis courts and the Pros within hands reach. THe tennis enthusiast can feel the speed of the game and the power of the professional athletes not appreciated on TV. Autographs are available for the asking!
