“Disappointing”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

We saw the pictures on the website and were so excited to visit. Turns out, the photos are not current and don't reflect the ambiance. Rooms were not "luxurious" as described on the website either; they were, in fact, very dusty and dingy.

My husband and I live about 40 minutes from Idyllwild, and enjoy an occasional stay in this lovely town. This was our first experience @ the Creekstone Inn and we LOVED it! The location, ambiance, and accommodations were just what we needed for a quick, one-night getaway! Loved our room (Old West, #4), and the price was great...$117.00 for the night. Would definitely do this again!

Room Tip: Definitely go online and take a look at what is available. (Every room has a theme!)

Staying here reminded me of some of my best stays in hostels, only way more quiet and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and informative . The common spaces were cozy and expansive with a fireplace and slate pool table and wow! the commercial kitchen open for use by the guests. This would be a perfect place for a family gathering with nine rooms and entertaining space galore. Its location is at the end of town away from the hordes of strolling tourists and revving bikers.

Room Tip: Rooms have fun themes done well

In Spetember 2013, my two friends and I stayed a few days at the Creekstone Inn and found it to be,clean, spacious, quiet and very well located, close to main restaurants and stores in an otherwise remote and forrest-like setting. Guests should keep in mind that all restaurants in the area were rather high priced, so they should take that into consideration especially since Creekstone Inn is not a B&B and does not provide breakfast or any other meal service, except for the kitchen which is available for coffee and boiling water for tea or hot chocolate. The manager (Laurie) was attentive to our requests.

After getting rained out for a planned camping trip, the Creekstone Inn became such a refuge for our altered plans. They managed to get us set-up at a last-minute notice. We had the Spring room which was nothing but adorable with an amazing view of Tahquitz Peak. The decorations were spot on, the jacuzzi is something I have only dreamed of, fireplace was incredibly convenient, and the atmosphere was magical and spread to the helpful staff. Such high recommendation for couples or small group gatherings. I cannot wait to return to try their other rooms or off-site cabins.

Room Tip: All rooms are amazing and very beautifully themed. Inn's website has a detailed and accurate des...

Amidst the flash of the California culture is this quaint and refreshing Inn that captures all that is good about a healthy journey away from the real world. In the heart of Idyllwild stands a majestic fortress of relaxation with old school warmth. I hesitate writing this review for it will unmask the splendor of this escape of mine but it deserves notice.

The Creekstone Inn is everything and more a vacation should be. Restful atmosphere, elegant country themed rooms, warm yet not obsessive customer service, and blanketed with a town that has that country ambiance one looks for. Fireplaces and jacuzzis in most rooms...one could just stay in the room and capture their expectations for an experience second to none.

I stayed in the Wildlife room which was nothing short of spectacular. Large King bed, jacuzzi, fireplace, and window seat. As a writer it was the perfect setting to create and explore ones art. I could not imagine a better atmosphere to work and play in both...

I highly engage you to take the time and explore this wonderful haven of pure enjoyment which will entice you to come back numerous times over....This is a gem amongst mountains of inspiration....Thank you all!

Room Tip: Also look at the Western room...Love the theme labeled room concept....

Lori, the manager, and Marilyn, the assistant manager, are simply fantastic. Lori prepared me ahead on upcoming weather and most helpful in every aspect. Had 15 inch of snow while I was there, Idyllwild was absolutely gorgeous in white, parking lot got cleaned up right away. Enjoyed staying there for 4 nights, every room is clean, nicely decorated, very comfortable, quiet and spacious. Free internet , wi-fi and free outgoing phone and free coffee, tea are terrific features. Just only need incoming phone line because cel signal is very poor once you leave village area. . Nearby Cafe Aroma is treasure too...Jean of San Diego
ps just wish they have better pillow to sleep on.
