“Wonderful Peaceful Getaway”

My husband, 14 month old toddler and I had a beautiful stay at the Quiet Creek Inn. As it was our first time in Idyllwild, we were not sure where to stay. After reading the reviews on Tripadvisor, we decided to stay at this Inn. We were not disappointed. The Inn is located in a beautiful remote area, yet not far from the town at all (2 minute drive). There is a beautiful creek that runs along the Inn. Our little one had a blast running along the creek! The rooms are tastefully furnished and very clean. We had a beautiful deck overlooking the creek. The owner of the Inn, Jim, was also incredible accommodating, which we greatly appreciated, moreso as were traveling with a young one. An early check in and extended check out was not a problem. We look forward to returning!

My husband and I decided to sneak away for a 2-night get-away. We've never been to Idyllwild before and Googled Idyllwild lodging where we found Quiet Creek Inn.

We appreciated the many photos of not only the grounds but each room/suite.

We were greeted by Mike and instantly felt welcome. The following day we met his partner Jim and all at once we felt as if we were home. Great guys, great hosts, and great ambassadors for Idyllwild.

The one-bedroom queen suite was roomy and very comfortable and the buildings, both inside and out, seemed brand new. It's clearly obvious how much care Mike and Jim lovingly give to the property.

A couple feet of snow was on the ground when we arrived, but the Inn's driveway was completely plowed and all the sidewalks were shoveled. Despite not being at all used to ice or snow, we felt very safe.

Each room has a full view of the creek behind. Stunning grounds, quiet location. We loved all the Adirondack chairs situated near the creek for maximum enjoyment. We took advantage of one set and enjoyed the babbling water and a glass of wine.

Later in the evening, we stopped by the "barn" community room on the property and played Scrabble on the game table before returning to our room with a movie from their vast library of VHS and DVD selections. We lit the first of two daily complimentary fire logs, cozied up, and enjoyed the movie.

We're planning on heading back soon, but this time bringing our middle-schooler so we can take advantage of all the family activities in Idyllwild.

We'd recommend staying nowhere else but Quiet Creek. It's truly heaven. Oh my gosh, I'm gushing.

We just stayed at the Quiet Creek Inn Studio Cabin Suite #2 on Dec. 26th and really had a nice and comfortable stay there. This was our second stay at this quaint cabin resort.
Our Italian Greyhound really liked it there with all the big fluffy Squirls all around and coming onto our deck for peanuts. He also got to meet other guests cute dogs in the large grassy area behind the cabins. The Studio Cabin Suite was the perfect size for us, spotless clea, well equiped and tastefully decorated. We had everything we needed in the small kitchenette. They provided 2 firelogs for the nice rock fireplace right across from the bed. The view of the wooded grounds and Strawberry creek from the large sliding glass doors and the nice deck is very peaceful and we could hear the creek bubbling. We liked the little touches like nice wine glasses provided and Wolfgang Puck Coffee to use in the little coffee machine. They provided a special towel for our dog and nice water bowl for his use. We also enjoyed the Barn Community Room with lots of DVR's, DVD's, Books, games, computer, taso teas, popcorn and more to be used by guests. There is also a horseshoe pit and BBQ area. Nice wooden chairs are all over the grounds to sit at the creeks edge. The location is really nice, quiet and great for hiking in the woods. It's only a short drive from town or walking distance to a Pub and a few restaurants. We had a super good lunch at Cafe Aroma with life Music (Brazilian), nice wine and beer selection. We had the Wild Mushroom Bisquet and Wild Mushroom Penne and it was very good. We also had a nice Korean dinner at the Mile High Caffee and a good lunch at the Greek Place. We certainly will stay at the Quiet Creek Inn again.

We arrived tired and exhausted from our long flights and drive and from our professional work (2 pharmacists owners, 1 air traffic controller and myself). The house was impeccably clean ( I mean spotless … and I am picky about this). Being a trained Chef as well, I must say I was again impressed with the meticulously equipped kitchen. Over and above the utensils and machinery, more than the basics were left in the refrigerator (butter, Kikoman, etc.) as well as in the pantry (salt, pepper, herbs, spices, ziplock bags and much more). The décor was very warm and welcoming with its open concept and the soundproofing between rooms and floors was exceptional for a chalet type accommodation. The guest house separate from the main house was absolutely charming as well. We used the huge balcony with the BBQ and the upscale patio furniture. The chimes were a plus for my yoga outside. All in all, you exceeded all our expectations and we cannot wait to return.

My husband and I rented the "Artist's Cottage" for a last minute, spontaneous Labor Day weekend motorcycle trip. I did a google search of inn/cabin rentals in Idyllwild and Quiet Creek Inn came up. There were no accommodations left at the Inn proper (which looks very charming, by the way, and is undoubtedly worth a visit itself), but there were several vacation homes available on the website at very reasonable rates. When I called to inquire, Jim the innkeeper suggested I take a look at the web photos and choose the one that most suited us. We picked up the key at the Inn, were given a packet of excellent local info (maps, what to do, where to eat, etc.) and given clear directions to our rental.

When we got there, we were absolutely charmed! A vintage little fairy tale cottage with a stone walled, wood shingled exterior, just like the picture. Small, cozy, tasteful (not over the top) country interior with an enormous native stone fireplace (which we didn't use in the summer heat but would be lovely in the winter). The compact kitchen was fully equipped with everything necessary to make and serve complete meals (even an air popcorn popper and crockpot in the cupboard). We walked to the local market, bought groceries and prepared all our meals, and dined alfresco on the lovely little patio in the front.

The cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway for two, or for a single person wanting a lovely, quiet work or meditative space with wonderful vintage charm. And the innkeeper, Jim, is super helpful. We left an item in the cottage, contacted him when we got back home, and he retrieved it and sent it back immediately. Great customer service from beginning to end.

Idyllwild is a lovely town. We enjoyed the great shops, hiked some great trails in the San Jacinto Wilderness, and well, the Palms-to-Pines Hwy is some of the greatest motorcycling anywhere. Thanks to Quiet Creek Inn, it was made even more memorable.

We recently spent a delightful weekend at the Quiet Creek Inn with six other couples from a San Deigo hiking group. The group loved the Inn's spotless individual cabins with fireplaces and mini-kitchens. We enjoyed wine and cheese in the Inn's art-filled living room before dinner and a catered lunch outside on the Inn's deck. The owners provided us with great suggestions for restaurants in town also.

The guests traveled from all over, even as far away as Costa Rica! We were coordinating the wedding from a distance. The staff was so helpful and coopertive with all the planning. Once there, they went way beyond the "call of duty" in helping make the wedding a huge success. The setting is tranquil and beautiful. The cabins are quaint, clean, and inviting. If you like fresh air, mountain drives, Jack pines, observing gray squirrels and Stellars Jays plus a super accommodating staff, this is the place for you! Quiet Creek Inn helped make our son's and daughter in law's wedding a most enjoyable memorable occassion. Thank you, Quiet Creek!
