This establishment is in the center of the village! It has a huge iconic tree on its premises which is the official tree used by the City of Idyllwild for the annual Christimas Tree lighting ceremony kicking off the Holiday season! On summer weekends this restaurant has a number of regional musicians who play outside oferring a fun atmosphere of music and food. Inside there is a small nook for evening entertainment on cold weekends. The food and service is good, and fair prices. It serves well the local population during off-tourist season days.

My prime rib was awesome and the chili was some of the best I've had outside of Texas (and better than many *in* Texas!). Service was slow, but decor was rustic and quaint and the price was right.

We had a group of 13 and chose the only 2 tables open. After half the group had odered drinks and some food, 2 other tables with more shade opened up. After we moved one of the "Justin Bieber" lookin waiters came over and asked us if we could all move back because we will screw up their system. We offered to close out our tabs at the other tables and start new tabs. He said if we didn't move back we wouldn't be served. Well that is what happened we were ignored for the next 20 minutes. We decided to leave..but 4 people didn't e
Want to leave..I explained to the waitress... And she said were busy and there are only 2 cooks... That doesn't explain not getting drinks..

The mgr. spoke to the four that stayed and never said sorry..but that there could have been a better way for the waiter to say it...

We headed to good times for the best burger on the mountain, roses for all the moms and homemade desserts...thank you Mary @ Goodtimes.

Very decent food, generous portions, fresh cut fries, juicy burgars, tasty barbeque and one of the best made-from-scratch bloody mary's I've had. Live weekend music on the outside deck. Just a hell of a fun place to go. And prices are reasonable, too!
