We wanted something other than ribs or burgers and finally stopped in at the Gastrognome...and it will be a favorite stop again and again.
The ambiance was nice jeans to dressier wear, but not formal. We sat by the fireplace (loaded with lit white candles) topped by friendly (not creepy) gnomes. Service was excellent; the food good and not pricey. The French onion soup was perfect!!! Cheesy with rusk and not loaded with salt.
