Most places in Idyllwild have a 2 night minimum so we felt lucky to find a place that would give us the place for one night and also would allow for a very late check in (11:30pm). HOWEVER, when we got to the room the first thing we noticed were two HUGE spiders in the bathroom which we quickly killed. We checked the beds and they seemed fine. My husband needed to use the Wifi so we tried to connect and there was no connection. Called the guy in the office and he said his connection was fine - must be a problem on our side. Tried a few more times, nothing. Husband went to the office (up a big hill) and connection was fine there. No apologies or anything from the guy in the office. Kept saying something wrong with our tablet - yeah right. Anyway, hubby sat outside the office at 1am catching up on work. I went to take a shower and NO HOT WATER. Called the guy again. He said he would look into it (no apology again). Called back and told me the water heater was turned off (HUH?) so he just turned it back on - try again in 20 minutes. By that time I was too tired. Beds were somewhat new so not too uncomfortable but the rest of the furniture was super old. Very disappointed overall.
