“Great Beer, food ok”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

The sauerbraten was not what I had hoped for. The sausages were fantastic, as was the selection of beer.
I would probably go again.

“Decent German Food”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

This location is somewhat authentic, in that it tries to copy a real German restaurant. The service is always very slow and the food is passable. The trick here is to know what to order, anything with sausages is a good beat because they have a butcher counter in the market right next door. I have tried a few of the other items and they are decent but need some work. I go here when I need my German food fix.

“Big Disappointment”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

This German restaurant has been on my ‘must visit’ list for years as I really enjoy German food, having traveled extensively in Europe. Finally we went for a late Sunday lunch but we won’t be going back. The service was terrible even with only a few tables occupied and when thee food arrived – Wienerschnitzel with spaetzle and red cabbage – it was a huge disappointment. The veal was OK but the breading was bitter and just fell off, the spaetzle was sticky and tasteless. The gravy was a congealed blob to the side. The red cabbage, though, was good but that hardly makes up for the rest.
Hate to be so negative but our experience was so contrary to the other reviews we think other visitors deserve to read of our experience and be a little cautious.

“good”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

it was good food, but the service needs a little help, I realize that it was October Fest, and things were crowded, and everyone was busy and probably a little tired, but the customer should always come first, the food is pretty good - I love the attached deli - took a lot of stuff home
