Just ate Sunday breakfast ay Sandy's, overlooking the beach and Pier in Huntington. Even though it was rainy day, the view can't be beat! Yummy creme brule french toast and eggs! Be sure to sit on the covered patio!

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach. On Saturday morning we took off from the hotel and walked down the beach toward the pier. By the time we got to sandy's we decided we were hungry, and it was the only place to get any food at that time along the beach. It was not busy, we sat outside right along the beach. Great view. The breakfast menu was really limited, but good. It had like 8 options. I had a mimosa and the eggs Benedict and my husband had a Bloody Mary and eggs, toast, potatoes, and bacon. His Bloody Mary was the only bad thing (small and bad house vodka). Everything else was awesome. The potatoes that came with my eggs Benedict and husbands breakfast were awesome, somewhere between potatoes at gratin and home fries. On Sunday morning we decided to go back after a walk on the beach again. Again there was no wait and an outside seat with an awesome view. Our waiter was really friendly. We both ordered spicy bloody Mary's with grey goose and they were awesome. Nice size, really spicy, awesome garnish, a huge difference from the first day. We both ordered the same thing as the day before too, the other options sounded good but were mostly sweet (French toast, brûléed oatmeal, pancakes). I would totally recommend this place for breakfast. I'm not sure if maybe it gets busy at different times of year but on this weekend in February, we had a fantastic meal in a prime location with no wait.

Sandy's has done a big change and it looks like they are now catering to a younger crowd right off the beach! we felt it was much better before they changed out to beach style patio furniture. Not so comfy any more. The food has done the same as they removed the grilled romaine salad, the lobster tacos, the chipotle shrimp and many of our favorite things we went there for. Seems like mostly beachy teen food now. Hard to believe this is a TS restaurant. What a disappointment for us. Based on the mostly empty restaurant we were not the only locals disappointed.

Stopped in for a lunch with some business associates during free time at a sales meeting. Had fish tacos, which were amazing, some good ceviche and a great Margarita. The service was excellent and it had great atmosphere. Would certainly return for dinner if I am in the area again.

We chose this place because of the location right on the beach. I expected a decent meal and a great view. What I got was excellent food served by a lovely waiter - and of course a great view.
