This is like being in one of the beachfront Hawai hotels. A convenient footbridge to the beach and the pacific. Very well kept and lovely garden. Clean, comfortable room. Free wifi and bottled water are a plus. Polite doormen.

The only negative: exorbitant price for breakfase: omelette, tea and potaoes: $28. You goopd quality breakfast.

I love this hotel. When you sit by the pool and marvel at the beautiful surroundings, you're going to think you're on an island in the Caribbean. Nice people, clean rooms and easy access to the beach and less than a mile to center of town. I will be coming back!

From the entrance to the exit 5 days later, this was an excellent choice for a family of 3. The access to the beach, superb service, great food, soft beds, quiet room... what a great experience.

I took a 1 hour massage at the spa and it was well worth the $200 price. Great experience!

Room Tip: Pick a beach-front room so you can watch the sun set while sipping champagne and nibbling on chocola...

It can be rather difficult to find a high end feel resort at a moderate price, but we found that here at the Hyatt Huntington Beach Resort. There was a lovely spa, beautiful landscaped grounds, an ocean view,Children's programs, several shops, 3 restaurants (some were closed in the pool area as it was off season) all with outdoor seating, several bars with good happy hours, 2 pools, and 3 large whirlpools. All around the resort you would find cozy outdoor or semi outdoor areas to relax, some with fireplaces. Outdoor fire-pits and torches throughout the property gave it a real resort feel.We enjoyed making gourmet sm'ores which the kits are sold in the store. During the "on " season there would be much more in activities. One disappointment was that the beach is actually across 6 lanes of the Pacific Highway and you really needed to walk across on the bridge suspended over the road. Once across the highway, it was very beautiful and a great beach to walk, have a campfire, play sand volleyball, or suntan. I was disappointed there were no boat rentals to be found, we had to go into Newport Beach for that. The staff was super friendly & helpful, with the exception of one grumpy lady at the concierge desk. We booked through Southwest vacations and felt we received a very good price. Be sure to go into Newport Beach if you are looking for any type of boat tour or rental. Check Groupon, Living Social, and Travelzoo as they had some great discount coupons for these activities.

Room Tip: Partial open view means if you go out on your balcony you will be able to see the ocean with a littl...

One of the best Hyatt hotels that I have been to. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Nice rooms, pools and location. The ocean view rooms are so nice. The rooms are so nice and clean. Very convenient location, and easy access to the beach.

Amazing hotel with great views, great staff, and great food. They have more than one spa area. The pool has water slides for the kids with a bar for the adults. You can buy s'mores kits and gather the family around one of their many fire pits and make some s'mores. The only negative is their parking. You have to valet and pay the fee for every night. There is nowhere to self park.

I arrived on Thursday, February 14, 2013 for a meeting. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms and common areas clean, everyone was friendly, food was great, and the rooms were large with a cozy feel! I was feeling under the weather so camped out in my room when not in a session. There was a spa, stores, and restaurants on this large property which was across a small street from the beach. Unfortunately, I could not avail myself of all this property had to offer due to not feeling well.

I used room service 3 times and all 3 times the servers were efficient and helpful. There was consistency in their methods. The only negatives I could find were the following: the first night I wanted room service but I was told the wait time would be just under an hour so I didn't order. All I wanted was soup. On Friday, there was only a seafood based soup. If you cannot eat seafood, that is a problem. Again, all I wanted was soup. I switched to the vegetable polenta which was very good, however for a facility of this caliber, there should before than just a one soup selection of seafood soup.

There was also some difficulty with the printer by the airline computer kiosk which would not print...even for the concierge.

But, the positives of this hotel far outweigh 1 soup selection and a printer malfunction....the people, property, and services/activities make this property near perfection!
