I recently visited Silverwood lake, and I was very impressed! It is a huge site where you can camp, take the boat out for the day, jet ski, or just swim in the lake.
I would recommend arriving early if your only visiting for the day because good shaded spots go quick! The park entry fee for the day is $10 per car. There are plenty of coal grills throught out to bbq, benches, grassy areas and trees.
The only con for me was that the water was dirty, a lot of ppl apperantly drink in the lake and throw their glass bottles in the water. Dangerous! There are lifequards on hand, snack bars, rental shops inside, and restrooms. In the morning the restrooms are clean considering they are public park restrooms. They are stocked with toilet paper and sinks. Bring your own hand soap, none is provided!
