“Great..no drunks.”
Reviewed July 17, 2014

Escaped to this place to get away from the drunks on the beach...fine food...great drinks...relaxed atmosphere..as with most places in SOCAL....service was awful....this must be the norm in SOCAL...service has gone out the door so the customer just sits there and waits...Oh Well..that is the way it is.

“Loved this place”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

We had an amazing dinner here and I can't recommend it enough. Tapas style, which was fun and allowed us to try several dishes. Here's what we had: eggplant fries, kale ceasar salad, mussel/prawn/scallop antonio, tagliotini pomodoro, spinachi con garbanzos, chicken souvlaki. All delicious, my husband's favourite was the seafood, mine was the kale ceasar. It wasn't cheap, but I definitely wouldn't call it expensive - very reasonably priced for what you get. Cocktails were made the way cocktails were meant to be made. Excellent service and the decor/atmosphere is perfect.

“More Beer Than Your Weird Uncle's Basement”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

What a top spot! Great view, great food, about 100000 beers on tap.

It's a rad tapas restaurant that's not cheap but has great quality.

They have a really novel ordering system where you just tick the items you want on the menu and it's taken away. Initially I was concerned about how I'd flag down a second menu for the next wave of food. In hindsight I found it hilarious that I thought I'd need a second course. The portion sizes were huge for tapas. Normally I'd expect to have to order 700 different things to get a decent feed, however 4 things filled both me and one other person up.

They also had a sweet selection of craft beers and ciders. Would highly recommend!

“Stellar food, selections and service”
Reviewed June 11, 2014

Really surprised by how tasty the food was and the variety of options. The staff were great and the wine was good, too. Wonderful to sit on the front around sunset and watch the people pass by on the pier area as the sky turns dark and the lights/stars come out. Great atmosphere/environment.

“Neighborhood Gem”
Reviewed June 3, 2014

If you want to sit outside and have a great selections of tapa, good wines and great sangria then Mediterraneo is the place to be. It's perfect for an afternoon or if you lucky get there at Happy Hour and the tapas are buy one get one free. The charcuterie tray is great with lots of choices of cheese and meat, plus its presentented beautifuly. I haven't had their sandwiches but they looked very good. All in all a nice stroll on the Stand looking at the ocean and then stopping by Mediterraneo makes the perfect end to a day.
