Days Inn Hemet

After our first stay here 2 years ago, we swore we would never go back. The rooms were being renovated but we were not informed of this at the time the reservation was made. We needed a place to stay in the Hemet area just recently and found what we thought was a new hotel (name change only) through Expedia. Upon arrival, we discovered it was the same dump we had stayed at before. Shame on us for not doing better research. Surprisingly, the rooms appear to still be under renovation unless they are finished in which case I would blame shoddy workmanship. The rooms are dirty, the furniture is beat up, and the bed was rock hard. Don't take this as just an unhappy customer ripping into a hotel because the staff did something wrong. The people at the front desk were very pleasant and I have no issue with them. Apparently, different cultures value room cleanliness to opposite degrees. I prefer a room with clean carpets, furniture with drawers that work, linens that actually look like they were washed, and bathrooms without mildew. Don't be fooled by the photos of the facilities that you will find on line. If that is not important to you, then stay and enjoy. But if you prefer a different level of cleanliness, keep looking. There are nicer hotels in the area that for a few bucks more will make you happy.

Our family visited this hotel along with 4 other families for a sporting event in the area. There are not alot of hotels to choice from in the area. The room was clean. Unfortunately we left a few things in the room upon checkout, yes it was our responsibility to get everything that belonged to us. We called back to the hotel to verify, the hotel did have our things, thankfully. Again, unfortunately the hotel does not allow Fedex to pick up items at the owners expense. We drove back to the hotel to retrieve our items. We do thank the Inn of Hemet for keeping the items, it is not their responsibility to do so. However, very, very tacky, that the money in the wallet was missing. We feel this was an average place to stay, but fair warning to watch your items carefully. We travel often with a group of people for sports, we will not be returning to this hotel. We need to trust where we stay.

You're never quite sure how you ended up staying overnight in Hemet, but sometimes it just happens. We stayed one night with 2 rooms mid-week, and it was actually the best motel we had on a week-long trip!

Rooms are very big, with a big sofabed, chair and ottoman in addition to a king-size bed, huge vanity, and bathroom. Everything was clean and in good working order; TV is a little small by comparison with the room, but had full cable channels and HBO. The A/C and fan were very quiet and far, far away from the bed.

Service through the tiny bullet-proof night window (welcome to Hemet) was friendly and efficient, and the AAA rate of $60/night per room made this the bargain of the trip!
