In July of 2012 I reviewed this restaurant and gave it an Excellent rating. Since then they have made many changes....some better than others. They have added a Sunday champagne brunch going from 10:00 to 2:00. On the plus side, they have very good chili verde, chili relenos, cold salmon, freshly made corn tortillas, and chicken enchiladas. I have usually had very good, attentive service by the friendly wait staff. I miss Lety though. Since having her beautiful baby girl, she's not around much.
On the down side, for some reason they continually put out dried up spaghetti with practically no sauce at the brunch. In all the times I've eaten the brunch, I have NEVER seen a dent made in that spaghetti! The salad greens are always too wet no matter if it's during the brunch or an individual salad order. The selection of salad fixin's is pretty non-existent. Wish they'd put out baskets for the tortilla chips so they would't slide off my plate.
I'm also unhappy that a customer can only take advantage of "Taco Tuesday" if conforming to the restrictions. You must be drinking in the bar area, you can't get them to go, and they are only available during certain times of the day. I have had issues with the owner in the past about his misleading advertisements and "bait and switch" practices.
Even with these gripes, it's still one of my very favorite restaurants in town or out!
